The 7970 is more power efficient, the 6990 can do more hashes. Gaming should be better on the 6990 of noise is not an issue. Title: Re: WTB 6990 Post by: superfastkyle on May 12, 2012, 08:44:38 PM that, and I dont have to pay $600 for the 7970 with 3 displayports. you get nasty tearing on games if you don't use all the same connector and are using multiple monitors. also I doubt the 7970 has much on the 6990 in power consumption comparing two cards (4 gpu's vs 2 gpu's) but I should already have this taken care of. thanks
