People seem to think that publicity will cause rampant speculation and eventual collapse of this speculation, but I think more Bitcoin buyers will prompt entrepreneurs to establish more Bitcoin businesses, thus prompting even more Bitcoin buyers, which prompts even more business creation, etc.

A common mistake in economics is to only look at the consumption side of the equation. Don't forget about production!

Yeah, I think 2 weeks ago someone might have looked at the $6M 'market cap' and decided not to work on, say, another bitcoin poker site. But at a $33M level it's a little more enticing.

If the bitcoiners are richer and more numerous then there is more profit to be made in serving them.

It probably sounds pretty hokey but the Forbes coverage probably did help with "legitimizing" bitcoin.  I now have friends thinking of ways to market products/websites specializing in using bitcoins as a currency.

Ok I apologize in advance this topic in itself was the test not the media my attempt was to create a buy senario unfortunately the thread did not get the traffic I had hoped to achieve call me an asshole be it was a test :s buy comparing post times with rough buy times I can attribute this topic only generated a 3.72% in btc value and that's speculatory at best

Again I apologize this itself was a test cheers for the help,
-W

comparing post times to buy times? You have no idea the impact of this thread. Nice try, but total fail.

Nothing better to do with my time :)

Mind you I'm sitting on ~35k+ btc so every penny helps :)

Early adoption ftw

Guess I shall let the market move itself :)

Why didn't you get back to my message? Did you get it?

You need to get Bill Keller to accept Bitcoin! I'm sure you can.

He paid well :) so I don't mind at all but that was along time ago now :)
