The "L with stroke" has the advantage of not being already in use as a currency symbol, but it still closely resembles the Pound sign (£), especially when handwritten. Its much easier to recognize a 3 letter acronym than a symbol if you're a newbie. "Hey, what's Ł?" v.s. "Hey, what's LTC?" I prefer the latter for now. Title: Re: Ł as the litecoin "symbol"? It's nice to know that even casascius doesn't view litecoins as a hostile cryptocurrency and is open-minded to the idea of an alt-chain, unlike SC/MC which the entire community has a consensus that it is a scam.
