Title: A more configurable SPV client for Android Post by: thorjag on September 26, 2014, 09:49:43 PM I was wondering if there is any highly configurable SPV client for Android? The most important thing I want to configure is what nodes I should connect to, i.e, my own node, as this would provide me with greater financial privacy when broadcasting transactions. Or maybe if there is a client that may include this feature some day?

Set the trusted peer in your settings screen. Note though, that because the bitcoin protocol doesn't support encryption or authentication, this is only safe as long as you don't have a MITM on your connection.

However last I heard Bitcoin Wallet doesn't support encryption of the private keys, HD Wallets or watch-only addresses. But good to know in case they fix those things in future updates.
