The program was released around 9 months ago and it has get updated several times since version 1.0 to 1.4.1. When you get a license you get free updates automatically once they are ready.
It includes logs and your account is totally secure as you need to use Steam Guard (2nd factor) in any pc you login. So in the case someone got your password you will get an email with your steam guard code and his ip in your email.
