Title: Someone said EasyMiner had a virus - so I scanned it with 41 programs...

Means absolutely nothing. Virus scanners only pick up viruses that are widely distributed, not ones tailored to a specific niche.

Malwarebytes also scanned clean.

You need to ask that other person to compare the SHA256 hash for his/her executable with the one you scanned.

Actually it would be nice if BFL would publish the hashes for the files they are posting.

This is a good idea. Will publish SHA1 of the files.
