Title: How do I move my coins into multi-sig?
Post by: MrPiggles on October 01, 2014, 06:19:49 AM
I have some bitcoins I'd like to secure. Currently in paper wallets, but I'd like to set up a multi sig wallet.

What is the easiest & safest method to do this?

Thanks

What do you mean what is the method to do this? Go to BitGo or Armory, set up your wallets and send your coins there.

Detailed explanation is appreciated as my client is techie.
Any other way with co-pay or other application?

I only use multibit and electrum, neither of which support multisig, so I was asking how to do it.

I appreciate the help, but could you expand a tiny bit more?

How do I do this with Armory? Is there an offline way to do this, as I'm not sure I trust a site like bitgo.

I'll have to look at it more indepth

Check out Armory Lockboxes, there's instructions to set them up here:

https://bitcoinarmory.com/about/using-lockboxes/

Been meaning to sort out my own multi-sig storage for a while now, probably wont be too long til they're the standard in most btc wallets.
