Title: Home Security Video System's - worth it or waste? Post by: PeanutCoins on October 01, 2014, 01:19:49 PM So regular alarm system doesn't seem ideal.
Do any of you have Video systems that you can pull up on your iphone/android and check on your place when not home? I have a buddy who's a retired engineer that would help me install the system. Would you get one if you had a little kid at home, wife, and had to travel 3-5 days of the week? Video cams might be a deterrent plus if you can easily see it on your phone plenty of time to get up stairs to the shotty Title: Re: Home Security Video System's - worth it or waste? Post by: vm1990 on October 01, 2014, 01:30:56 PM depends what your areas like and how paranoid you are, you can pick ones up from most electronic stores that do android and iphone apps between $50 and a few hundred $$$ all depends what your after most people just cover the outside of the house with 2-4 cams and thats them sorted.
id recommend CCTV, its also easy to setup and most people can do it within and hour or 2 just research what you need/want find a good compromise and your sorted Title: Re: Home Security Video System's - worth it or waste? What do they cost for a decent one? This is a discussion not a 'too cheap' scenario. Spend 10k to not see shit sounds like a bad idea.
