I clean all of the dust out of my system probably every 6 months. Having a case with dust screens in the front has helped keep the inside cleaner than previous cases. Estimated time between cleanings - 7 years. Inside the computer? I vacuum out the dust when it starts having thermal shutdown problems or my GPUs reboot because they cant cool well enough. It's the internals that can get pretty bad Had a fan stop running and a PC not turn on because a giant dust ball accumulated inside it and it was very difficult to open the computer.
