Title: 21btc = 1/1.000.000 share in Bitcoin
Post by: bitebits on October 03, 2014, 09:39:08 PM
Imagine, for just a few dollars, you own an insane share of the Bitcoin payment network.
Such a bargain!

The more I get to know about the Bitcoin payment network, the more I want to increase my share. I admit it, I got addicted.

It seems that atm, the market is listening to my needs. Will keep mine in cold storage though, you can't have my few btc anymore, ever!  8)

I remember when I replaced my windows PC for Linux because of Bitcoin. Bitcoin sure makes you think about your computer security very seriously.

You don't really need to buy 21BTC to have 1/1000000 of the monetary mass, you have to consider that many bitcoins have been lost and will be lost.

And with the shellshock and heartbleed security issues I would reconsider you choice ;)

Why? A fix was available within hours of it becoming public knowledge... with windows publicly known security vulns run rampant for months before anything is done about it.

True but how many implement the fix in time. Anyhow the best OS for bitcoin remains an offline one ;)

Yes yes, someone had to say it, so what's the ratio of security vulnerabilities discovered from linux and from windows? from linux 2, from windows 1000s and increasing :D. not to mention the sheer number of viruses developed solely for windows every day. oh, and I almost forgot it --- linux is free, windows is not. so you're getting better security and it's free.

btw, I also stopped using Skype a while ago as I understood that no one really knows what skype does in your computer as they have not released their client's source code. to make matters worse, skype has obfuscated their program to prevent reverse engineering. To me it's all just too suspicious to allow skype to run in a computer that is constantly Proof of Stake minting and thus requires the wallet to be unlocked.
