Yep, the sooner people start grouping religions into one basket the better IMO.

I should:
- be able to treat my wife like a slave.
- have my wife walk 5 paces behind me while in public.
- be legally able to have sex with her dead body for up to 6 hours after she kicks it.
- be able to beat my wife like a bad goat.
- be able to keep her at home like a prisoner while I am away.
- be able to revoke her human rights.

Some religions really DO have all the perks.....

But women are clearly inferior to men. Clearly.

Obviously.... The Qur'an even told me so.
Now, if I can just convince my wife.

Religion is nothing more than a masking tool that enables those who use it to spread Racism, Hatred, Fear, Sexism and every other '-ism' that is normally frowned upon in polite society.

Yes, it is misogynistic when such views are expressed by Jewish and Christian men of religion, which I guess is the point the blogger was making. I don't see much difference between the Big Three, they all have an angry sky god. All three have religious zealots - Christians have the Westboro baptists, Islam has Taliban, and the Jews had zealots. I'm also sure all three have many more moderates than crazies.

I am also sure, however, that atheists don't claim women cause magical contamination.

I don't think religion is stupid, it just makes ignorant people dangerous. And smart people ignorant.

Being atheist doesn't mean one is against religions, although religions imply otherwise.

Most of the extreme Islamophobes I've met are Christian, which to me are only a hair's breadth removed from Islam when compared to other non Jehovah religions. It seems like the closer related religions are, the more they hate each other.

Some people just have a need for 'spirituality'. Maybe it's a genetic thing. So, I'd say believe what you need to, just don't try to make everyone else believe it too (I'm looking at you, Jehovah's Witnesses).

I don't really believe it will ever happen though.

Maybe slightly true for the natives a couple of hundred years ago.

Right now it's a mix of many many cultures which we call the multicultural society. So we don't really have on culture we have many many cultures. Kinda like the US in that way, built on immigrants.

Personally, I love the concept....

Consider that US national polls still show strong reservations toward a woman president.

So, we're all so progressive, but...when it comes to the presidency let's wait a sec...lol.

If I was a Voting American, I would have done (and still would if given the chance) everything in my power to get Hillary Clinton into the White House.

If any Woman could do the job (and do it well) IT'S HER.

Unfortunately, I must disagree. She is an impetuous bitch with a Napoleon complex.

She's more of the same, but I agree I'd take here over both Obama (a complete disaster) or Romney (very disastrous-looking).

She'd be in practice a lot like Obama, but without the stupidly populistic facade. We'd spare some of the disgust but the American economy would be heading for collapse at exactly the same pace it is now. When (not if) that happens, the whole world economy is going to shit.
