Title: screensaver miner? Post by: coga on May 13, 2011, 02:09:55 AM I wrote a poclbm wrapper, which self-activates as a screensaver, and also overclocks ATI card. It's pretty useful, because my card when heavily overclocked can give 20% better performance, but such overclocking boots PC when I try to watch youtube. So I'm running it as a screensaver.
My question here is: is anyone here interested in me wrapping this thing in a package and putting out for all to use? ??? Title: Re: screensaver miner? Post by: Dayofswords on May 13, 2011, 02:36:45 AM I hate to say this in your thread, but why the heck is suddenly a number of people posting for the first saying they developed a new miner and offer a download and stuff.
it just worries me that one of them will be some malware to send all your coins away to some hacker who, due the the nature of bitcoins, will never see consequences. Title: Re: screensaver miner? Post by: coga on May 13, 2011, 02:41:50 AM Valid concern... I can open source.
Really, I don't care that much. It's just I made something useful, and wanted to share Title: Re: screensaver miner? Post by: Dayofswords on May 13, 2011, 03:19:52 AM Yeah I know, it just wierds me out is all, be nice if people could post some before so it's not

Title: Re: screensaver miner? Post by: coga on May 17, 2011, 02:32:59 AM I have since found there are projects similar to mine. Anyway, if anyone interested, I've created a project on sourceforge here: http://sourceforge.net/projects/ssbitcoin/
It's got source code as well as binary |
