Good call! Once Manbearpigwhale gets the weak hands to sell, we will be going to the moon on our rock ship!

I have never seen such a low sentiment, this means a reversal is coming. And the further we fall, the quicker the slingshot back up will be (this was articulated by Risto)

As long as you keep holding, you can't lose. you only lose when you sell for worthless paper money.

then he will be the last bag holder and GAME OVER, all his money gone to some one dumped before he does :)

You only lose when you sell for less than you paid.

Nobody has ever lost money by holding.

It is incredible how many people on this forum have convinced themselves that this is the case.

Fundamentally, the value of the assets we hold is the amount of utility they can provide, in terms of consumption goods.
Consumer price inflation measures the buying power of fiat.
The current BTC/USD price, adjusted for consumer price inflation (which is tiny compared to BTC/USD volatility), tells you the buying power of BTC.
That buying power has crashed.
You definitely have made a loss, even if you haven't actually sold.

Not only is Bitcoin dead. It will die at least 3 more times before 2020.

Right. The fundamentals have not changed, that's what falllling and his alt accounts don't understand. Has the protocol been broken? Noo, sir.

This is amazing opportunity to get cheap coins. All you do now is hold and be rich man in a few short years :D

Can't wait! xD

But as others said, adoption has increased and good news have come, so why are we still falling? I want my yacht today! xD
Is it someone forcing the price down to buy cheap, or is no one buying?

true, that's why bitcoin is going to drop lower and lower then the final capitulation!

bitcoin will drop back to where it came from at $0.01 or $0.0001 then stay around there for a while and get out off sight slowly and eventully die

You are absolutely right which is why the price will continue doing what it is. (dropping to where it should be) I don't know what that is but wouldn't be shocked if it were closer to a 50 million market cap and not 5 billion!

I was doing groceries at a local supermarket, saturday afternoon = rush hour, long lines at the cashiers. got bored and checked the charts. sub 330 prices flashing, and it hit me like a hammer that i had a $XX k buy order sitting at the upper 320ies. (i went out @ about 400 and had set the buy back order so deep that i was sure, we would never hit it.)

So there i was standing at this fkn supermarket queue, shitting in my pants, scrambling out my pad, freaking out trying to find the bitstamp password, holding my mobile for 2factor, completely unable to handle, collect, pay for the groceries, giving all the others a nice show, getting everyone upset, shouting

" I FUCKIN NEED TO CANCEL MY ORDERS !!11!!

well... found out i was late...

 :)

What are you looking for for a buy indicator?  I still feel like there's optimism left so there's no bottom.  For some reason I'm thinking $100 - $200 would *possibly* get rid of most of all the libertarian / preparing for the end of the world goldbugs.  I feel like the buy indicator is when this group is no longer interested - mainly because they are the ones who've inflated the price to the point it is

I don't think they are the market movers in either direction, but they are probably buying right now.

You really are missing the point are you :) Though I can't say for all "optimists", but the lower the price goes - the more will be bought, not sold.

Depends on what you mean by "works."  Certainly not as a store of value :-\

Common misconception / mis-statement.

"A store of value is the function of an asset that can be saved, retrieved and exchanged at a later time, and be predictably useful when retrieved. "

Bitcoin is an excellent store of value.

Only if your intent is to lose value.  Today your coin buys two-thirds less than it did at the start of the year :)

:D :D the bulltards here believe that people are going to buy bitcoin just because it's more valuable right now than some arbitrary time in the past. I'm pretty sure people aren't that stupid and looking at 2014's market is all they need to avoid bitcoin. Bitcoin is a mirage, avoid it like ebola!
