Title: What is the problem with BLOCKCHAIN.info? Post by: Watoshi-Dimobuto on October 06, 2014, 08:02:00 AM Recently, i am having a lot of problems with blockchain.info. Since i use its wallet, it either delays my transactions or just keeps it unconfirmed.
It affects a lot when i bet on btc oracle or any sites in which timing is very important. Last time it showed up after an hour. Few days ago, all the recent transactions were stuck. Now blocks are not updated. 324076 1 hour 8 minutes 47 556.88 BTC Discus Fish 21.97 324075 1 hour 10 minutes 113 4,134.33 BTC Slush 67.88 324074 1 hour 13 minutes 418 3,710.48 BTC Discus Fish 276.48 324073 1 hour 31 minutes 565 5,280.95 BTC BTC Guild 300.80 324072 1 hour 54 minutes 636 4,907.68 BTC GHash.IO 340.80 324071 My transactions i sent half an hour ago only appears in blockchain.info and not in any other block explorers. Plus it is still unconfirmed and it haven't yet got credited in the site to which i sent. Do you know of any alternatives to blockchain.info wallet? I never had the problems you are talking about except some little hiccups. If you still want an alternative, try Coinbase.

I bother to log into to check the receiving and just check on the block explorer. Other than that, I am using bitcoin core as well.

Post by: jonno453 on October 06, 2014, 09:23:54 AM i found blockchain.info to be the best when starting using online wallets. like you i noticed some discrepancy mainly the coins were not adding up but rectified days later and slow payments. i moved to bitcoin core. although it takes ages to start and can take a while to download the blockchain the first time, i have had no problems with it. and i could move my address so diddnt loose out. offline wallets can be a bit more risky but as long as you encrypt and are not stupidly downloading viruses can be as secure.
