Title: Bitcoin Talk at KPMG Zurich - May 25th Post by: Stefan Thomas on May 13, 2011, 11:12:35 AM Happy to announce another Bitcoin-related event in Zurich this month, organized by the fine folks over at Netzzunft (http://www.netzzunft.ch/).
When? May 25th, 2010 at 19:00 Where? KPMG (http://www.kpmg.ch), Badenerstrasse 172, 8004 Zürich, Switzerland I've been invited to give an introductory talk about Bitcoin, but I'm especially excited about the open discussion that is scheduled to take place afterwards. We'll look at the political, economic and privacy implications of a decentralized cryptocurrency and I'm looking forward to many interesting questions being raised. :) My talk will be in English, but the discussion afterwards will likely be in German - depending on the preferences of the other attendees. Well, after the talk was when the main surge in media interest for Bitcoin happened, so I was pretty busy answering emails and attending some other events. I also lost 7000 coins at that time. And that caused me to focus on BitcoinJS. Long story short - the video (36 GBs worth of HDV) is still sitting on my computer waiting to be cut. It was my first talk about Bitcoin and I think I got better over time. Also it's pretty basic/introductory. So my suggestion would be to wait for the video of my August ISSS/Webtuesday talk to come out. I had a really good time during that one.
