90% ideas fail because they're never implemented. If u have an idea, implement it.

He doesn't have an idea, that's the point.

The most successful business model are middlemen. They produce nothing, they just move money around and keep a portion for themselves. Take, for example, PayPal - they just transfer money between accounts in their computer system, keeping 3% each time until eventually all the money is theirs. Credit cards, same thing. Casinos, pretty much the same thing too...

Bitcoin has the money transfer mechanism included in the protocol so it doesn't need such middlemen. There are still opportunities such as ATM operators, escrow agents, auction houses. eBay is one of the more clever scams, they never see the money or merchandise, but still bill a percentage of the sales price just for hosting a web page for your item for a week.

Bitcoin is just money. Why should I send you my money? Goods and services. You should have something you would pay for yourself.

Ideas are everywhere. Are you still in school or do you have a job? Your social and professional circles are a great way to generate ideas. When you think of an idea, write it down immediately. I write all my new ideas down into a single text file. I call it my "sparks" file. The reason I do this is to not distract myself from whatever project(s) I am currently working on. I can always look back at my sparks file and re-read all of my previous ideas. If you look at an idea you had 6 months ago and you still think it's a great idea, then it's probably worth pursuing.

If someone brings an idea to the table, what do you have to contribute? Are you a developer?

Its not a scam whatsoever through what PayPal / eBay etc are doing (PayPal is a scam for freezing accounts etc, their business model isn't). No one is forced to use their site, they offer a service of allowing buyers and sellers to easily connect and go through their escrow (which is slanted towards buyers imo). If they are "just hosting a web page for your item for a week" you can create your own website and host it and see how that works out, eBay has millions of users, meaning liquidity. When it comes down to it Bitstamp, BTC-e etc all do the same thing as eBay, connecting buyer and seller, which is a service.

Now to the OP, it doesn't have to be a unique idea, take something thats on the market that doesn't do its job well, or if you see a way you can improve it. Dont rely on other people to give you their ideas, because people will keep the best ideas to themselves (as they should).

You might want to try some of your ideas in a small scale to see if there is interest in it if you're concerned about user adoption. You can roam the boards here looking for other people that are looking for help too.

One thing that seems to be missing is finding trusted resources for development in the Bitcoin community. Matching people with skills, ideas, and funders in a single place. This board is an okay platform towards that but not well suited for that. As an example, I need a trusted web developer who is also familiar Bitcoin. The board here offers some anonymity which is key to some Bitcoin discussions, but the last thing I want to do is hire a dev who has been involved in a scam. I've seen some people post here looking for help with website graphics, blockchain help, web dev, etc. I could use a kickstarter type site that is merged with something like fiverr and LinkedIn.

The one very important thing - BTC user number in Internet is relatively small - who can see this from bitcoin directories - what you can do - in fact nothing.
News portal may be is not bad idea  ;D

Implement it and market it. Users can be anywhere from 40.000 to next to zero, many factors are of influence. But if you do nothing you will certainly have zero users. It's hard to estimate the number of users for something you have never done before unlike things you have done many times. You could try to find out the traffic to other games sites.
Once your game is finished you could advertise it on various sites (including YouTube), forums, and even you could open your site in computer stores. First people have to see your product to decide to play or not play. If you could earn (or lose) many BTC then I think there will be quite a market.
