Hello,

By reading about the altcoin community and skimming threads, I've found there is a huge distrust of new coins. Some hop on, but there are many that think new coins devs have misguided intentions.

I want to include a crypto in an app and therefore premine a lot of it to hand out, within the app.

Will the community accept that? What questions will they ask so I can begin preparing to answer those?

Any help would be great.

There are already hundreds of alt coins if not thousands. We dont really need just another alt. If u r serious regarding your app, simply build it on the existing Bitcoin protocol. People will admire it and if it solve some real problem, u might be a millionaire.

Premining is a good way to kill a coin.  I would have it set up where it launches at a time everyone knows.   If you premine good luck getting on a big exchange at this point.

If you are planning to create a coin, please don't just clone an existing coin but make it something special and different from the hundreds of altcoins we have.

Imho it's a bad idea overall.
The distrust in new coins is on the rise. Especially if it's just a simple clone and even more if it's premined.
There are far too many coins, most of them not giving anything, really.

My suggestion would be to approach the devs of a couple already existing coins and make a deal. May be of a great help for both of you.

Most people don't like premines but there's also many that do ie newbs who just like the idea of free coins. To me it goes against the spirit of crypto to premine, though a premine is the only way some people would bother with most of these alts.

Biggest problem facing 'free' distribution of coins are all the sockpuppets claiming extra shares and devs (not saying you are) hoarding and dumping once the price has risen to a certain point. With the amount of clone coins being released nowadays it's a lot harder for new currencies to get established.
