That is ridiculous, although the US has good reason for fighting for his tax money... which we shouldn't have created in the first place.

I think this is much more interesting as an example of the complete degeneration of the news media into a tool of the police state.  Even the headlines are now devolving into their most basic form.

It's so obvious now, too.  They can't even wait an entire week between the time when someone does something questionable, and when some politician rides in to save the day.

Soon it will just be one story directly after another, "Bad Man Do Bad Thing" followed immediately by "Politics-Guy Angry at Bad Man," probably in big bold red lettering with a frowny-face next to it just to make sure they reach their core constituency of vindictive, attention-deficit-addled morons.  >:(

I've been having people try to argue with me that he owes this money to the government. They agree with the media that he's spitting in the eye of the American people. Then I throw this out: He helped create Facebook, which is a huge contribution to America. It's a large corporation (which pays taxes) created thousands of jobs (for people who pay taxes) but the government still feels they own a piece of his labor. I tell them it's absolutely ridiculous that we have a guy this talented, coming here to better his life (while making America better) but we have a tax system that's so oppressive it pushes his skills and money to a different country.
