Post by: alex21btc on October 15, 2014, 10:36:41 AM
Hi,

I have 6.9 USD on btc-e.com and I want back bitcoins, but this is not possible on this site.
Anyway, I want to withdrawal and I found option BTC-e CODE.

How this option works?
Can I redemt code for bitcoins? And where I can do this?  ???

Thanx

USD voucher just increase your USD balance ... similar to check.

You will get an unique code (voucher) linked to amount USD you withdraw.
Voucher can be redeem by anybody so you can sell it, donate or redeem yourself.

You can just redeem the code on btc-e(redeem option is in your profile page) and buy Bitcoins from your USD balance simple..

What do you mean by "not possible"? Could you specify the problem you have exactly?

With your 6.9 USD balance, you should be able to buy almost 0.019 bitcoin at current price, and withdraw your btc balance.

The code just generates a voucher code with the money you specify and allows another user to redeem them if they have the code. Just exchange them back to BTC and withdraw them to your own wallet address. The minimum withdrawal for BTC is only 0.002 which you can easily get more than that.

If I generate BTC-E code with USD, I will get USD BTC-E code. So, if I withdraw this code on site, I get only USD (not BTC)?  ???
Anyway I contacted BTC-e support, and now I waiting for answer.

I made the mistake of putting GBPs into my BTCe account, and then realized you can't trade them.  I tried to withdraw them, but you just get a BTCe code which is not accepted at the exchanges I tried because it's in GBPs.  I've asked the support people at BTCe if I can get a refund but they just keep telling me to use the withdraw function, but this is no good as you get the BTCe code in GBPs.  Does anyone know how I can get my money out again?  Would love to know.

you bumped an old topic from 2014!

from 20.5.15 the trading of GBP was closed on btc-e.com and i have no idea why they still have GBP deposits. https://btc-e.com/news/219
but as i can see it in my own account on btc-e.com the option to withdraw using OkPay, Wire Transfer, Moneypolo are available on the site and these are in addition of btc-e codes,
you can choose one of those from the drop down menu.

if you have more trouble either contact support or start a new topic instead of posting on an ancient topic.

Thanks a lot.  I didn't see the drop-down on the Withdraw button last time.  Their support people never mentioned it either.  I think they struggle with English.

I would have started a new topic, but I can't see the New topic or New post button anywhere.  Doh!
