Post by: cafucafucafu on October 15, 2014, 09:20:00 PM
It is known that the blockcain can store data e.g. proof of ownership, votes etc. How much can it realistically store?

Unlimited, it is only restricted by how much we (the users) can store on our own storage devices/hardware.

There is currently a 1MB cap on block size.

So around 1000-25000 transactions at current sizes?

The limit can be increased as demand dictates so theoretically it's this much.

under 4200 transactions per block

under 52gb a year

currently the blockchain is filling up at well under 10gb a year
