The extra free bar was part of the tests that I did for the plated bars, they are numbered incorrectly so I cannot sell them without potential confusion about the numbering system, but for the most part they are fine.

Still waiting on stock. Ironically the plated versions take longer from my supplier, I've upped the amount ordered of the pure silver bars so there isn't a supply squeeze. There should be more than enough for all.

Okay a quick update guys.

A small shipment is on the way and will be in the UK by next Tuesday.

The problem is, that tomorrow I am moving to Amsterdam.

So there will be a delay on when the numbers 6-15 are available and can get shipped out. This is out of my control at this point but the positive is that I can confirm for anyone that has reserved their bars that there is almost enough that most people should get their bars from this small run. Another separate shipment with additional bars is also on the way meaning that without having to preorder or take people's money that everyone should be able to get some of these awesome silver bars! The plated ones are currently with the shipment arriving in England.

So I'm really sorry guys, there will be up to an additional two week delay for numbers 6-15 silver bars. This probably isn't a bad thing since I'll be learning a new animation pipeline in my new job!

Funnily, the numbers 16-25 should arrive before as these will be shipped to my new address in Amsterdam.

I know this is strange, but this job I'm taking has been in the works for a while.

So my apologies guys, the striking of the bars and the shipment took a lot longer than I expected (due to changes at the supply end regarding the plating).

I'd rather be straight up with you guys so you can get the facts and know what's up.

On a side note, any bitcoiners in Amsterdam, feel free to say 'hi'!  :)

Further update- I will be sending out a message this Saturday to those who have expressed interest to confirm their orders as I will be receiving the second run (numbers 6-15) this Saturday :)

why 1.65 oz and not 1 oz or 2 oz?

It's for work, but I thought it would be good to experience living in another country before it gets too cumbersome. Amsterdam is one of the two places I would have considered in Europe, luck and contacts played a role I suppose!

The weight was originally aimed to be 1.5oz, but the bar was too small, with the measurements I preferred the weight added a few extra grams. Plus I like odd weights :)

The plated bars will probably available this saturday too, pricing will be announced this weekend, I don't have the spreadsheet open right now, but if I recall the estimate pricing was around 15 gbp.

I do not fund the bars myself, this is to protect the customer and myself from possible breaking any money transmission laws, but I provide all the accessories (including a guide) that you may do this yourself.

I've enjoyed seeing these sweet looking bars pop up in the Goods section. Love that it is different than most all other physical cold storage pieces. I've never really looked into UNO at all, but maybe this will give me the push to do so. It makes me think of a silver bullion bar like one that would be held in Fort Knox, but sort of a cryptocurrency bullion. Which I suppose is exactly what it is... Mainly just had to post to keep this in memory for my eventual To-Buy list.  :)

I've also been looking at more silver coins lately, SBSS & some others, and I've been considering checking out the "Goxx'd for the Last Time" coin for a while now. Have to add that to my mental list as well. Did you do the painting on those yourself? It is a nice touch for a silver coin, the contrast really brings out the image better.

The painting is not done by me, it is done at the mint. It was my first design and I wanted it to specifically stand out as you mentioned.

On a side note, I'd recommend the 2014 year of the goat if you are looking at bullion over any SBSS rounds. Also the latest eagle coins from the US mint. These will likely do a lot better in terms of price appreciation.

Hey Mane! Well there is a project I'm reviving with another member and also helping finish another project that was designed and struck a while back.

I've also got another project which is totally different than my usual offerings that I'll announce in the coming weeks as long as I can get it ready- it's in the final stages now. I'd like to say more but I want to finish it first.

This is on top of trying to sort some more runs of my current designs, the Goxxed coins and pure silver Uno bars are easiest, but I have some trouble with my label suppliers right now so there is a slight hold up with the regular plated bars due to numbering issues in relation to labelling.

Personally I have a lot on right now, big changes and deadlines at my job over the next few months and I have tax issues to deal with in the UK. It's going to be a struggle to fit everything in, but I'll keep everyone posted.

I've been assessing the labels I supply with the bars, can a few of you guys tell me if you used the inkjet- or laserjet labels? I'm feeling it might be a bit wasteful including them both, but I do like that it gives my customers the flexibility to use different printers for the labels, what do you think?

Are you referring to the blank labels that are used for the private key, and are covered by the holo?  If so, in my case, I just printed my own paper and cut it.  I didn't use either of your labels.

You could add an option for your customers to choose what they want. Both, one or none. Maybe combine it with a small discount?

Also, should I add the Unobtanium bars to your website? The only thing on there right now are your goxxed coins and I think the Coinbase link doesn't work anymore.

I only use the laser labels for printing, but I do find various ways to use the inkjet labels.   8)

This sounds like the best idea. I honestly didn't need my labels, and I put my bar in a custom case anyway.

It's very frustrating right now as I had a very specific hologram for the bar, it'll take some time to find a replacement and a company willing to overprint on them. This is dragging on too much, but I also have a deadline in June so things are a little crazy.

I am interested in a couple of these. Please let me know when you have more of the pure silver in stock.
Is the shipping insured and include tracking?

It is not insured- as I have had no problems yet, but for larger orders they will have to be insured yes.

Will the holograms of the next run look the same or have a different design?  If using a different supplier, you could use this as an opportunity to do something different. 

As a collector, I would buy another silver bar if the holo were different.

They should look the same, I'm currently in communications with a new hologram manufacturer- but since this supplier may be using different stock, the look and print may or may not look different but will be the same quality holograms. I will update the thread when I know more.

I think you have a very nice product here. I am curious, how come is the plated version so much cheaper than the solid silver version.
Obviously the metal price account for some of the different, but still a big difference when taking the metal price out of the equation
The only reason I can think of is insurance and security issues with handling precious metals.

To those that responded in regards to the plated versions: Let me assure you that even the plated versions are every bit as beautiful as the pure silver ones. They would make a nice addition to a collection for someone getting started. Holograms are great quality too.

The plated version is much cheaper simply because the materials are a lot cheaper, the margin of profit is small (between 1-2 eur for each bar) but since this is more a hobby than anything that's okay. The margin on the pure silver is just enough for it to be worth continuing. After the run from all the interested parties this may well be the last pure silver run I do.

Generally I only use insurance for large orders of which I have had few.

Between 10-15 pure silver and I think around 30-40 plated. I'm getting some new goxxed coins in too. So a relatively small run. Because I've taken so long to get this run ready I'm expecting some cancellations of the pure silver ones.

A few members have enquired about the project's status. Not much has changed from my earlier posts. As I wrote before, I've had to order new holograms from America, I'm expecting them any day now- they really should have arrived already. As long as they are as good or better than the previous batch then I will move forward with ordering the new bars and some new edition Gox coins.

Looking forward to moving this along, and perhaps wrapping up this project for the forseeable future with this next run.

In response to those interested in plated bars- there are 4 left 68, 71,72,73. But I'm currently out of printed key labels. This is another supply that will be ordered with the next run.

But, since many report to not use the supplied labels, I'm happy to sell the remaining bars at a small discount. Bars now sold!

Ideally it would mean faster processing and packaging if the labels were not supplied, but I think most customers make use of them so I see no reason to start differentiating with or without labels unless there is a great demand to do so.

I regret to say I will not be needing the silver UNO bar now bigtimespaghetti, as I am getting out of unobtanium. If you require a restock fee, send me a PM and I will settle up.

I am, however, still interested in the Goxxed coins and any future oferings you have. Your service and quality is well above par.

Are you going to work on any new coin designs when you have time?

I completed one with another member, but the project isn't 'complete'. And I have to make time to finish a design with another member who when it is finished will be dealing with the distribution side of things.

The ebook has been something I've been working on for a while, so it's great to finally have that finished. A print and possibly pdf version will be ready soon.

I have a number of ideas for another coin, but I currently have no plans outside of finishing the previously mentioned project. I think what I'd really like to make is a universal cold storage wallet, but like I said no plans currently :)

A universal one would be ideal. I will eagerly await the day you decide to work on that. ;)

Just an update- I'm struggling to find appropriately sized labels as there is a size difference. I've found some that will work so I can now finally order the next (and probably final) run of bars.

I've had two laser printers in my 21 year lifetime. They are pretty common in surroundings, most of my classmates have a laser printer, because it's often quicker and cheaper.

You could just ask people to specify what printer they have. :P

It wouldn't make any difference really- due to the limited run there unfortunately aren't any economies of scale to take advantage of! Otherwise I would happily offer a choice.

Small announcement guys: I've decided to take pre-orders for those interested in the new run of bars. This is a slight change to how I have processed orders in the past (I have never taken preorders).
Previously I have taken names down in a reserve list- which is fine, but the bonus from taking preorders is that I can add to the manufacture order before it ships and prevent running out of bars- as has happened due to popularity in the past. It also has the added advantage of meaning I can package all orders as soon as I receive the new bars and get it out to you guys sooner. You have waited long enough and I truly appreciate your patience with this.

And it is because I value your patience that any preorder will get an extra gift as a special thank you.

If you have previously reserved a bar there is nothing you need to do- I will contact you. If you have not previously contacted me to reserve a bar, then pop me a message or post here and I will get in contact with you.

So to clarify- if you have reserved a bar, regardless if you preorder or not you have a bar reserved. This is a point of integrity and about keeping my word- these are already being manufactured (I have sent payment for them already).

As a special thank you, anyone who preorders and makes payment will receive a cool extra gift with their bar/s :)

Okay, finally organised the bars- some issues with numbering but I will get on that ASAP.

Also, I'm pleased to announce that the popular Uno plated bars are now available in GOLD plating as well as silver!

The gold plated bars are a significantly lower mintage than the plated and pure silver versions- with only 25 struck and 4 even rarer 'error' strikes.

Gold plated: 0.093BTC each

Silver plated: 0.05161BTC each

Lets try this again.  After the US mail lost your Gold prototype I won in the auction, I'd like two more Gold now...lowest serial number avail please.

The delay is in postal supplies- I'm out of the cardboard envelopes that I have started using to protect the labels and holograms and while I could start shipping with padded envelopes, they do not offer as much protection.

There has been an issue with the holograms. This is my fault for not checking the numbering soon enough and take full responsibility.

If you have not been contacted by me then do not worry- your bars are on their way to you.

The situation is this; the hologram supplier went on holiday in the middle of an email conversation without telling me (which isn't great). So I got replacement holograms from my original supplier in the UK. All customers will have the option to purchase the 'original' newer type holograms at minimal cost while also receiving their bars and appropriately numbered holograms as soon as the replacements arrive.

I figured that everyone would rather have their bars sooner rather than later with appropriate holograms. And since the US hologram supplier will be away for another week and a half, with you having waited long enough already I hope that you will be happy with my handling of the situation- with the option to purchase the 'original' holograms at cost.

As of tomorrow morning all outstanding orders will have been shipped! Apart from one particularly bulky order which needs some extra time for packaging- I will be in touch.

Thank you all so much for the patience with this, it really has been a testament to the patience and kindness of my customers. You are all awesome and it's thanks to you all that I get to make these super fun products!

No I don't believe it is. But while checking I found a hand full of test and error bars (4 gold and 3 silver plated). It did not occur to me that anyone would be interested in them until one slipped through my quality control!

I'll post an update with all the numbers I have available. But for now, the error bars are:

92, 99, 91. The numbers are stamped upside down! Note that these do not come with holograms.

No- they are in addition to the released mintage.

I've had a generous offer for the unnumbered test bars, so since there have been no objections I will go ahead and sell those too. To clarify these bar don't come with any holograms or numbering so they are clearly defined from the 25 that exist with official numbering engraved.

Only 7 silver plated bars remaining in this run. Thanks again to all my customers!

Currently no plans to do another run, but if I make another coin/bar I will probably get some more UNO bars made to have them in stock.

Just two silver plated left and a handful of perfectly good error strikes (laser engraving incorrect). The error strikes come with random numbered holograms so they function just as the normal wallets do :)

At some point in the future I may get some more silver bars made in the future, probably another very small batch. I have a number of projects in the works right now, but for now I'm going to wrap up some things and try to take a little break over the holidays.
