Because both gold and bitcoin prices are volatile, especially bitcoin, it makes this a little more tricky which is why I offered 3 BTC for it. A couple months ago he probably would have taken around 2 coins for it. This brings me to my next question, Og will you accept cash for it? I think I would rather pay cash than end up kicking myself a month down the road when bitcoin price jumps back up. You get less price from the exchanges unless you are selling at least $10k. But yes, Eagles are typically over spot due to being coinage. The coin contains 1 troy oz of pure gold and a little extra metal to make an alloy so the coin is harder wearing and less prone to scratches. Usually copper or silver is added. These added metals can change the colour slightly giving Krugerands a redish look due to the added copper. Its pretty irrelevant if its 22k or 24k as long as the fine weight is the same. Thats right, in fact a lot of people prefer 22k (gold eagles) over 24k (maples for example), because they are more durable.
