I'm in need of a decent laptop that will last me a few years. Needs to be Intel i5 or better with dedicated graphics, preferably nVidia. Willing to pay around $600, Possibly more. Thanks, Garrett Title: Re: [WTB] "Up to par" Laptop Post by: moocow1452 on May 21, 2012, 11:51:57 AM Alienware m11x first gen, OC 1.7Ghz C2D with integrated and discrete graphics, unfortunately not Optimus enabled, so it has to be switched manually. 4GB RAM and 64GB SSD, and/or the original 500 GB with 7200 RPM. I've got Peppermint OS on it at the moment, but I can put Windows 7, 8 consumer beta, or just about any other linux on it, or wipe it entirely.

It has everything you want and it's new. The only downside is it's a little above your price point.
