It is advisable to read the game thread also, starting from the announcement that it accepts characters (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=819073.msg9248616#msg9248616), at least. As part of the HM The King's gold sales, mandated by the rules, 10 lots of 1,000 units of CK gold each, will be offered for auction. By buying from this auction, you may also be entitled to the "MEW bonus" and "early poster" bonus that will automatically be added to the gold you have bought. The bids are to be given in the following format: "quantity @ price (XMR)". For example "2000 @ 0.11". The reserve price is 0.05 and no more than 2 decimals, so the bidding starts at 0.06. Higher bid wins over lower one, earlier bid wins over later one, and all winners pay the same amount per lot (the price of the lowest winning bid that still wins). The right to participate in the auction is limited as follows: - if it is not legal for you to do so, cannot participate - negative trust rating, cannot participate - Newbie and Junior Members, limited to 1 lot - Senior Members or higher, or existing players of the game, limited to 10 lots (all). The winners who are already not characters, will be created characters in the game after they pay for the gold and supply the character stats (age, sex, nick). Auction closes 6 pm GMT Wednesday, BCT server time, or one minute after the last winning bid (in case a winning bid was submitted during the last minute, the auction lasts as long as there are no new winning bids submitted in one minute since the previous one). If alot of people take interest, could we limit the amount of gold 1 person can get(so new people have a better chance to try out game early)? Kinda sucks if one single person can bid a high amount and take everything since I think too much gold was sold to some people at the start already. Consider this: A careful reading of the rulebook shows that there is an incentive to spread the wealth especially for those who might collaborate on common goals simply because high amounts of gold produce less stone per gold than lower amounts of gold. Therefore multiple collaborators can produce more by working together than can a single player working alone with the same amount of gold. It is impossible to manage the building era that starts on Sunday manually with a large number of players. The online version (that abolishes the min gold rule) is only coming up in 2014-11-16. The price is currently 0.21 and there is an over-allotment option so that if more purchasing interest comes at that price or higher, existing holders of gold may choose to sell their holdings. The floor price is 0.21 so it will anyway not go below that. |
