I will give you my honest opinion.

Take 0.5BTC and use it to learn all about gambling and investing. That should be enough to teach you what will be worth your while and what wont. Try BtcJam and even throw a tiny bit into 1 or 2 HYIP's if you feel like they might be legit (although I wouldn't recommend even giving them a chance).

Then take another 0.5BTC and use it to trade. IE Sell high and Buy low. You never know you might find that you make money on this method. Its not impossible.

The other 5BTC I would hold onto. I suspect that you will be smiling once the price of BTC goes up, which most of us believe it will.

you could almost do a max house bet on prc at 49.5% odds. then when you win you'll have even more coins to invest.

Apart from gambling sites, you can also look at trading. But you will definitely have to spend more time at that.

I would suggest staying away from dice sites. Mainly because most of them recently have ran away with investor funds, and the chances of losing your money are much more than gaining anything.

Lock them away in cold storage. Many investment opportunities in the coin space are complete scams and I'd say nearly all are negative expected value. There's no "provably fair" method to invest in the bankroll of a gambling site either, several of the last big sites ran with coins and/or played against investors.

The smartest thing you can possibly do is just hold your coins securely.

The problem with alts is they are very volatile and there isn't a lot of brand recognition like with BTC. Stunna is right. Hold on to your BTC for now, keep reading, reading, reading. When you come to something you don't understand - keep reading. BTC's are great as a buy and hold. For the most part using them makes you lose your shirt.

Just so you know make sure and evaluate all fees before trading as they are generally pretty high.

At first, I thought it was some kind of a hoax post and just moved on.  But then I thought about it for a bit and after reading some of the (not so) quality offers you were getting.
I too was looking for an investment in the future of Bitcoin gaming, found a business plan for pmpoker.com (http://pmpoker.com).  After reading their business plan, I sent them an email asking questions and they replied within fifteen minutes, which impressed me more than anything at first.
I have invested in this company, and I’ve gotten to know the owner fairly well and find he’s really on top of his game (no pun intended).  I feel they have a top notch gaming platform, and I plan on investing more when I can.

I can advice you, like stunna say, to put your bitcoin in a cold storage and hold until to 2016, when there will be the halving, and price of bitcoin will increase so much. don't invest in gambling site or hyip, in the major case it is scam.

Distribute a few in the gambling sites that accept investing, and use the rest for trading :)

If you have no experience then don't trade. You will lose your money. Invest in trusted gambling sites or keep it in a cold wallet.

Don't invest in any HYIP or ponzi with that many funds, or diverse your funding to several different investments. As always, do your research before sending any funds to any one entity!

All altcoins are much much more volatile than Bitcoin.

Buying altcoins is as good as gambling, if you don't know what you are doing.
I think OP doesn't know much about altcoins and trading, hence it is pretty much veiled gambling.

Even if they don't run away, they are still stealing profits.

They have 0.013 as max win, which implies a bank roll of 1.3 BTC funded by them.

Let's say you buy 1.3 BTC of shares (13). You should get half of all profits because you have half of all risk right ?

Wrong. The site owns 1000 shares, worth 100 BTC.

If someone came on the site and lost 1 BTC, you would earn only 0.0128 BTC, with BikiniDice stealing the remaining 0.987 BTC. In a real investment, you would each get 50%.

Here you would literally get 1.3% with the rest 98.7% going to BikiniDice, even if you funded half of their bankroll.

If you really want to invest in dice site, PRC Dice is a safer option then Bikini Dice as it is much older and established.
However, it is still possible to become a scam anytime. :)

just my experience, do not invest in HYIP it is a big risk!
and do not buy or invest in cloud GHS mining, because the results are less satisfactory and the ROI is very long, and the larger the block Difficult bitcoin, so you'll get smaller.

Yes, you should go for bitcoin lending sites instead. It's too risky anywhere else now with all the scams popping up.

If I were you, I would split the bitcoin and invest in several different invest-able gambling sites (eg. Bitdice, PRC, Diggit, Safedice, etc) to diversify the risk.

Try not to gamble the whole amount if you're interested in gambling. Set aside a small amount to gamble like 0.1 or 0.5 if you're feeling lucky for entertainment. Always expect to lose. Don't overbet!

I expect he/she is aware of that and despite want to try his/her luck in gambling. Otherwise why would one post a thread in this section?

Maybe the person is looking just to invest in some Gambling sites and not gamble, which is why they posted it in this section. And if it is so OP, I'd suggest you do your own research and look for gambling sites that are have been here for a while and the owner is trusted by the community.

Keep it in cold wallet and stay away from gambling. Maybe some established dice sites could be good options but only for investing not for gambling :).

As i said, if he/she wants to gamble, go ahead. But set aside a smaller amount to do that. That way he/she won't end up like the person in the thread. No matter how high the chance of winning, there's still a chance to lose everything if you bet such a high amount.  :)

investing is providing the gambling website with bitcoin to pay out the users that win. and in return you get a share of the losses of the gamblers.

so basically it's like gambling except you have the house edge with you, instead of against you.
