Title: How long until multipools/rental services are obsolete for Scrypt?
Post by: quakefiend420 on October 24, 2014, 05:03:12 AM
So less and less coins are coming out that are on the Scrypt algorithm, Litecoin has basically gobbled all the hashrate up, just like what happened with Bitcoin when ASICs came out.  Most new altcoins are using non-ASIC algos like X11, etc.

Also, most multipools are charging higher fees than straight LTC/merged DOGE pools, and they're causing downwards pressure on the price of LTC to boot.  AND, they have higher variance due to the constant coin switching for the few Scrypt alts that are left and fluctuating exchange rates on the ones that don't have the same liquidity as LTC.

How long before they've gone the way of the dodo?
