Hey guys im new to the mining side of bitcoin. So i was wondering is there a good mining rig you can buy or build for around 500$

It's really buying cant really build asics at home.   For 500 look at S3's or 1 C1 will be range I would guess your in.  It is cheaper if you have PSU's on hand but you might need to buy those aswell.

Also, an Asicminer tube. It runs up electricity, though it's a cheap alternative in terms of GH.

More hash rate and less electricity used with an ASIC than an SLI computer rig.

Probley the easiest is 2 S3's and psu.  The prisma mentioned above is nice, just wish it was a little more efficient.   Depending on your electricity depends on which is best for you.

2x S3 will be a good choice.
