Title: What Is Happening To Primedice?
Post by: stainedglass on October 27, 2014, 02:22:05 PM
Primedice is becoming shittier and shittier!!

Unless he starts making better choices on some things, Primedice will be going down quick! He's too greedy and his dev team is too lazy

Only changes they make are stupid vipchatroom is really not needed anymore since you have to wager a minimum of 5btc to talk in VIP chat

Yeah there are some cheaters, but the solution for stopping them is much easier than simply removing faucet he wants to remove faucet instead of implementing an automute for spammer!

And.. One has to wager 0.0001 BTC TO USE GENERAL CHAT??? WHAT IS THAT??

I thought it was 0.001BTC.

Probably just to prevent spamming and trolling.

Disabling the faucet is sad for primedice.
I predict the day the faucet is removed, the day people will stop visiting primedice.

Still, pretty big for someone who just joined the site and wants some information from the players around the site. Anyway, I still feel that Primedice is the best. And I just wish, they do something for the people.

How much is the faucet in prcdice.eu? How long is it running? Is this a legit site? I am currently looking for a new gambling home. :)

Faucet is a free bonus, stunna isn't actually getting anything from it other than heavy traffic and bots (to be fair it attracted gamblers to the site before when it was still young) but I doubt it would affect the profitability of the site for Stunna.
And the 0.001 is to avoid someone registering 100's of accounts and spamming all over chat after getting banned in one.. There have been spam spree's before.

Well, they're just trying to avoid potential hackers and spammers, I guess. Anyways, there are some alternatives to PD :)

man, never heard so much fuss about a faucet. PD is a dice site. it should stick to being a dice site.

Well I still believe that stunna's still getting rich in Primedice though. I just have a heavy heart about the faucet.

You have a good reputation in the forum. You might know what are the best alts for primedice. It must be reputable and legit.

Primedice still rocks.

Yes it still rocks. But the faucet doesnt.  >:(

The faucet was extremely generous from the beginning.  It's not something that they'll have figured out on the first go, especially since the abusers consistently find ways to exploit it.  Another thing to keep in mind is you're complaining over the faucet changing by fractions of a cent.  If you were to spend $10, that would be the equivalent of 200 faucet claims assuming you had the much sought after 10,000 satoshi faucet.  Lest we forget that the point of the site is to deposit your own coins to play with, which is how most every other dice site runs.  Anybody who complains about something that was free from the beginning, regardless of changes to the policy, is an ungrateful idgit.

At the end of the day, it doesn't matter what does or doesn't change anyways, because you'll either lose those 600 satoshis back to the site or get excited over that fucking 60 cents worth you just withdrew.

PrimeDice is the same as any other dice site. The only reason it is better known is because of its long running signature campaign. Without the sig campaign, it will blend into the background.

Yes but many take advantage of the faucet.

They have multiple accounts and when they reach 50000 Sats they tip another account.

Alot of work but many make like $5/day with this method.

In my case they paid the FB giveaway and didn't pay the bitcointalk giveaway. So, yeah..

A good faucet gives some 550 sat / hour, that's 13200 sat / day.
Primedice faucet gives indeed 500 sat, but only if the account is empty, so unless I missed something obvious they have to actually gamble to get the 5$.

The gambling requirement only would cost an abuser an expected 1% as they are able to gamble it on a 9900x multiplier.

They said something about it, in the prime dice thread. It was being argued upon, not sure if it has been removed.

I stopped playing on Primedice and switched to www.luckyb.it . The people in chat are more friendly and the game itself is really exciting. And of course they have a chat lotto bot which tips people quite often!

Nah, we don't. Also we ban when someone asks for free coins. We have RainBot but its only to active gamblers. And lurkers also got banned. We ain't friendly in that case :/ But if you want to play or chat it's one of the best places to be :)

Even if they launch a new signature campaign,
it will be limited to Sr.Members or above or
they will come up with an entirely low rate  and will be open from Members.

Your argument is that Primedice is trash because we are trying to keep trolls/spammers out of the chat and found an effective means to do so. Seriously though, it isn't hard to reach 0.0001 wagered simply by claiming faucet for a few minutes.

The amount of people that use primedice a day is probably 10x any other dice site right now, before we put in chat limits the amount of spam in chat was unmanagable. This limit isn't to make money but rather to heavily discourage ref link spam as someone would have to spend either a few minutes playing the faucet or deposit/play for a small amount before being able to post a link once and then get muted.

There are a lot of legitimate complaints about primedice, yours is not one.

There is nothing wrong with Primedice. If you think there is something wrong then you have a problem because you have to rely on chat messages to get money from a faucet.

There used to be a bot but it's not running at the moment. It used to reward a random person in chat every few mins with 10,000 satoshis, and on  a rare occasion it would go nuts and give a lot. I got something like 11 "rains" from it over 5 minutes once.

Why not lessen the faucet, make the minimum cashout higher and just leave the chatroom alone?

I disagree. I believe that quite a lot of people can see how such a site works and decide if he likes it with the pennies from faucets. Some will stay, some will go.
The problem is the implementation of such a faucet. Because it's not OK to give 500 sat unlimited times and quite often. Maybe 500 sat / week (!) / IP,  with the timer reset after every deposit (?).

just add the option to play with some fun points, instead of bitcoins from faucets.

Your rules are too overcomplicated

I think this about sums it up.  While I don't like how PD is becoming more elitist, I can understand it.  As to faucet, I really liked it but it was being abused so badly I don't blame Stunna at all for scaling it back.

I still visit and enjoy Primedice, but it is no longer my primary dice hang out.

Good Luck!

Another point is that you can achieve higher "levels" in PD by appearing to be more active in the chat. This gives incentives for people to spam the PD chat with useless garbage in order to get higher faucet payouts.

IMO it is a bad idea to have incentives for people to be more active in the chat in the first place. I would argue that the chat will be naturally active with or without incentives for people to chat as people are naturally gong to socialize in the kind of environment that PD is.

My once complaint about PD is that they do not give away free drinks like the casinos in las vegas and atlantic city do. If PD could figure out a way to give gamblers free alcohol delivered by a beautiful cocktail waitress then I would certainly spend a lot more time there.
