How does one add a banner / image that I see others have on the forum ?

It is not possible to have a picture in your signature. Maybe you confuse it with the forums ads under the first post of a thread?

adding a picture in signature is not allowed
the highest level of formatting i have seen in signature is
font color,font size, and background color

there are no images , its just text .

BBcode is used for formatting, which allows for colors, size, and layout, and some signatures contain unicode characters to display symbols. You can't display a picture in your signature, but BBcode is plenty for simple banner advertisements. When you sign up for a signature campaign, they'll provide specific code for you to copy and paste into your signature, which has been customized. Sometimes, it'll look like an image though

You can make yourself too, just need some skill on colors. You can find BBcodes on websites and also on this forum when replying. ::)
