Title: Accepting default Bitcoin avatars Post by: theymos on May 25, 2012, 05:29:00 PM I'm getting sick of seeing those Actors/Musicians avatars, so I added a few Bitcoin avatars to the default set. If you know of any other Bitcoin-related images that would work well as avatars, post them here. The maximum width is 120px and the maximum height is 80px.

I can't easily follow those license terms. Title: Re: Accepting default Bitcoin avatars Post by: theymos on May 25, 2012, 06:33:22 PM I can't easily follow those license terms. Actually, I just added the attribution info to the PNG metadata. Should be good enough. Original artwork can be posted here. Probably I'll add any decent artwork that isn't offensive or annoying to the list. Title: Re: Accepting default Bitcoin avatars Post by: rjk on May 25, 2012, 07:02:16 PM Just as long as no one is allowed to copy others' designs as their own. I dislike the idea of a default set of avatars because I'd prefer either no avatar or something that is different for each person.
<---- also, that is my own creation. One way to do it is the way woot.com does it with their avatar system. Each user gets a unique avatar that is generated from thousands of components, and they can choose from 5 variations or use their own. |
