I'd say some speculate because it's a gamble, even thrilling if you will, and not because anyone really knows how it will turn out (unless it's someone with a will and a way to significantly manipulate the market). Many do not have that. I am surprised that more people aren't on here whining, maybe I just don't notice them as much? Well speculation is just like a gamble...you use statistics to try and bring down your losses but in the end it is still a gamble and most people kind of get their thrills from it.
