Post by: travex on May 15, 2011, 12:48:43 PM
I'm about to get this Corsair Tx-850 to power up my 2x5970 + E4300 Rig, is this sufficient guys given that those 5970s will be overclocking a little.

I'm using the Tx850 to run 4 5850 with mild OC, people seem to generally overestimate how much power a computer uses even with a few GPU's on it.

I use TX-850 with 2x5970, but with Sempron 140 processor. Cards work fine clocked at about 850Mhz. Stock voltage.

Also running 2x 5970 of the Tx-850. Have been running stable for about a month with a small OC.

Running two 5970s on a TX750 with a 850/300 overclock. i7 processor, 8GB RAM. Completely stable, no problems for the last couple of weeks.
