Title: A New Developer Needed - RSU
Post by: DarkhorseofNxt on October 29, 2014, 08:01:46 AM
Greetings everyone & Potential Developers,

The community involved with Reserve Share Unit (RSU) project needs a new developer to develop a new project. The previous developer has absconded and abandoned this project.

Bitcointalk thread : https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=734477.0

What do you need to know

  • No source code available. Many believe this does not even exist.
  • White paper. https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B8ziil8jPfhlNFZ3VmVuNUxMZTg/edit (If you call this one.)
  • This project is a POS based system. The only stakeholders list (not properly documented) found is this: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1q9MyW_2PcPeB26hrZCiDPSxZ9qXBfM1R6QLlE8XQ0d4/edit#gid=0
  • The project asset is listed in NXT Asset Exchange. The proper link to number of current stake holders can be viewed here:
    Nxt Asset ID: 14285820955872321553 , https://nxtblocks.info/#section/assets_exchange/market/14285820955872321553
    Asset Stakeholders: https://nxtblocks.info/#section/assets_exchange/stakeholders/14285820955872321553
  • Total Asset/Coin : 1,000,000

This community needs a new developer who can either

(i) Develop the original idea from Reserve Share Unit so called white paper or

(ii) Develop a new idea or direction (your own idea) moving forward. A simple POS system to start with would be a good start too.

Since the assets was issued on the AE, it would be best to leave it to that way instead of creating a new stake holders list.

How to attract a new dev?
how much the original account? reserveshare create many sockpuppets account. maybe they are still here and nobody knows they are reserveshare team.

That is why i suggest not to create any new list of shareholders and not to complicate the distribution, that will be too messy trying to find a "fair solution" between those who bought stakes in AE, and those that did not receive their shares. How to determine who has received and who has not? It will be very messy. The dumpers (who got the free shares) mostly has dumped, and now only the holders and those who has bought and buying the stakes are there. I think the priority should be finding an interested dev.

Bounty for the developer team:

edit: I will increase my contribution towards a 'new' dev team to 20,000 RSU (2% of coin supply)

dev team can hold 10% of total coin i suggest.

I believe we can arrange something. I will contribute some to the dev and i hope all the big stake holders will do that too. I can pledge 0.5% of total coin supply from my part. I dont hold that much.

I am not so sure what would be the final bounty, but for now 2.5% from the total coin supply has been pledged and hoping more to follow.

Interested parties/developers can post their interest in the official RSU ANN thread.
