Title: Lets Make Btc better
Post by: urdubit on October 30, 2014, 05:45:08 AM
I am promoting an effort for eveyone to buy btc from their operated exchanges today to increase the value of btc. Lets hold onto this btc. There isnt too much to risk here at just $10. Buy that much worth of btc if all of us buy this today it will increase the value of btc substantially and in return not only make mining profitable but also btc.

not sure, if you are serious about that ;)
that is just some really basic stuff

In reality it is much more complicated, mostly because big players manipulate the market, so e.g. it seems there is a higher demand than really is.
In a smaller market(bitcoin) it is easier(less capital needed) for someone to manipulate it.

A lot of people hav already said about doing this, but no one holds, and just 1 post here doesn't get everyone's interest.

This is a bad idea, because someone with a lot of coins will just wait for people to pump up the price a little and then proceed to dump more btc onto the market.

The thing here to understand is that there is a supply demand gap. The problem is that big companies like dell paypal expedia are now accepting this but they are inturn dumping what they accept into fiat. Which creates a sell pressure. Yes there will always be pumpers and dumpers in the market. But in turn if we can put buy pressure with a minimum investment without looking at current price then it will eventully run them dry. I am sure they are big gamers but how many 10, 20 100? I dont think there are more then 100 people with enough btc to destroy the price. I maybe wrong but I think its limited and with so many smaller players in btc we can collaborate to win it over. Also if you think about it we spend way more money on mining. Throwing $10 and buying btc monthly will not cause us to go broke. Look I posted this yesterday and not implying that my posts created and upswing but btc went up didnt it?

Great promotion! Besides this thread what else are you doing to promote the effort?

Yeah, keep buying and buying more. I've considering to set 0.5 BTC buy order in Huobi, for every $20 downside all the way to $200. This might be the one last chance to get coins like this bargain sale.

That might be a good way to lessen the losses. But why not just buy that amount once the price is the lowest?

That's a good idea but after you buy there's no reason why it won't drop another 50% in value. I've seen it happen before in a matter of days.

Would be better for everyone to do their part promoting the use of it so its commonly spent. Give incentive to use it like 10%-15% discount on purchases so anything sold by vendors is bought back up due to receiving discounts.

Encourage contacts that run sites to use it, at present the main uses seem to be casino sites and dice games, which is limiting to the using crowd. With greater use and adoption comes more elegant user friendly storage and payment devices.

Once its taken alot more seriously by high retail and trusted and used by non techy people in large volumes the rest will take care of itself. I'm waiting for the day i see someone show up at mcdonalds and pay for their happy meal with a hardware device hanging off their car keys.

Haha well, if you're buying I'm selling mate!

Every buyer needs a seller; that's why I'm here!

Because it is not possible to know with any level of certainty when the price is the "lowest". He is describing a way to buy additional amounts of bitcoin while the price is falling. If you were hoping to buy a bunch of bitcoin when the price is eactly $200, then the price bottoms out at $200.50 and then skyrockets you will have purchased no bitcoin however if you bought small amounts over time as the price declined then you would have purchased some bitcoin

Right just don't forget one small nuance here.

You first need to *have* coins to be able to sell them :)
