Title: My suggestion on showing bits in Bitcoin Core Post by: darkfur93 on November 03, 2014, 06:36:22 PM There's been alot of talk about changing the default unit in Bitcoin Core to bits (known in Bitcoin Core today as µBTC).
Many members of the Bitcoin community like BTC as the default unit. My suggestion would be instead of changing bits to default, include a option in Display Options that reads "Show µBTC as bits". That way we who like BTC can still use it by default, people who like using µBTC can still use it and people who want to use bits will now have the option to. GET IT if you dont want to download the blockchain, then use a different GUI that interacts remotely to third party services. It's 20gb in size but a lot faster to download then the wallet. I downloaded it, used it for 5 minutes and then I formatted my hdd. It was a waste. But maybe you might use it. |
