Title: Can I get a loan as a newbie? I need $100 worth of BTC
Post by: Mrbutter on November 03, 2014, 10:41:50 PM
Hi there
I was wondering how I can get a loan without a collateral. I heard providing ID is possible ? I'm looking for $100 worth of bitcoin load in a time span of two weeks.

You're more likely to get negative trust for asking for a non-reversible currency as a new member who has put no time into the community.

I would venture to say you heard wrong. Not much anyone can do with your ID if you default. Collateral is key here.

I was told the best way to gain trust is to reveal your name and not hide behind pseudonyms. But I guess having a business mind and wanting to get a business up and running straight away requires hiding your real name and not getting a business up and running until you have trolled for 3 months to pretend you don't want to run a business. Then have a sudden eureka moment and ask for a loan then???

Other alt coins like litecoin, darkcoin, dogecoin, ect. Physical bitcoins like casascius coins are good. Digital stuff is best i hear,

What I don't get is why use alt coins as collateral when the person taking out the loan can sell those alt coins and exchange it to btc?

If you are a member+ you could collateral your account, unfortunately you are newbie and no options for this  :( Maybe you can collateral a digital account? Like maybe a steam account with games on it etc.

Those are not collateral.

Because maybe you need btc but don't want to sell your litecoin for some reason, then you can leave your coins as collateral against the loan and get them back when you repay, easy.

Providing documents and getting loan is only possible in the Banks only, not on the internet world. Because, Bank employes who collect your documents for the loan can visit to your doorstep any time when they need. But, by providing your ids , you can request for a loan on this forum as a newbie. Impossible.  ???

If you really need a loan , just provide any valid collateral and get the loan easily. And pay it on time, that's it.
The Compulsory Rule of lending section is " No COllateral No Loan".

If the lender was stupid enough to lend him money with a steam account as collateral then in that case it is.

But you're right - in general - it isn't collateral.

If you were something like a Full Member or Member you could use your Bitcointalk account as collateral. Too bad ::)
