They accepts bitcoin worldwide the only case would be the .ca website haven't updated but their executives must have known about it.

You sure? I think it's limited to US only (for now). I don't think they have bitcoin as payment option in the UK.

You're confusing them with overstock who, IIRC, are accepting bitcoin for worldwide shipments of all their products. I would recommend them highly!

Great experiences with BTC and overstock sofar as well.

THey just started accepting it ? because Alienware is Dell & it's accepting Bitcoin for a while now :o

I heard Canadian bitcoin is too clean... So they think canucks dont need stinky computers anyway.

The big corporations limit their locations that they accept Bitcoin until they're 100% sure about where they can and can't trade it, Overstock for example accepted it in the U.S and now they're moving to worldwide, it's all just because the laws are different in each country.

Won't Dell just convert it right back into fiat anyway?

It seens that only USA Dell accepts it so, more than CA, UK, BR doesn't accept Bitcoin aswell.

Canadian bitcoin laws aren't much different than US. if dell is scared of dealing bitcoin here then they are a bunch of panzies.

Canada is somewhat more strict then the US is in regards to bitcoin regulations. I think there would be very few situations when something would be illegal in Canada that is not illegal in the US, but I am sure there are examples.

I do however think this is likely some kind of glitch or oversight on dell's part. I think it would be more effective to notify them via social media as the "higher ups" are more likely to see what is happening in social media then what is happening in the webs chats

I think they have mentally accepted it, but not yet technically. They will sure to add up on this as soon as possible. :P ;) :D

No surprise there. Most of the sites are accepting BTC only from the US customers. International customers can't make their payment using BTC. I think Overstock is the only major retail site accepting coins from international users.

UK has more friendly approach towards bitcoin than US, but you can't pay with it on Dell.co.uk. I don't think uncertainty over regulations is a main reason. They're 'piloting bitcoin' to see how it works out, if it's worth the effort - they'll implement it worldwide.

If this is some kind of regulatory thing, the reps would have an answer ready for canadian customers.  I think it's just incompetency..

yes, only dell.com accepts btc, I tried with local sites too.

It sucks, I was so happy I could use my coins :(
