Title: [Nxt] Papers: Whitepaper, Academic and Economic
Post by: Daedelus on November 05, 2014, 04:17:43 PM
Contrary to popular opinion, Nxt has had a whitepaper for several months (currently up to version 4 and another version expected)

Nxt also has a series of studies into forging and economics that others may find interesting. This thread is intended to allow anyone not registered on nxtforum.org to ask questions (or at least let me try to find answers for them   :D ).

Still, thanks for the kick.....

Judging by what S just did to the Alt-coin section........I think shit is about to escalate.

Would the paper on the research of multibranch forging in PoS systems (https://nxtforum.org/consensus-research/multibranch-forging-approach/) be a fitting addition here?

The "consensus research" also has some more papers and several simulation tools for forging algorithms (https://github.com/ConsensusResearch/).

Can you format the links based on the above and post here?  >> https://nxtforum.org/general-discussion/nxt-papers-whitepapers-academic-and-economic/

I'll then update both OPs. Nxtforum is the main one, this one is just a mirror for interest/people searching 'whitepaper' etc.

Lovely.

Nothing better than facts to shut up mouths.

This is an excellent find. It's also nice to see the simulation code is written in a functional language (Haskell). While I'm more of an ocaml fan myself, I do appreciate Haskell. I hope to try it out.

Huh, you mean like this?

Paper on Multi-branch Forging in PoS Systems

Simulation Tools for Forging Algorithms

... I opted for linking the NXT thread in the first, since the scribed-link might get outdated... added it as second link.
Would imagine though text-linking is better for google to find stuff.

Yes, like that  ;D Updated OP.

I'll take any suggestions you have of improving the OP to help Google find it, you seem to know what you are doing   :)
