Title: 5770 downclock memory? Post by: fishie on May 16, 2011, 11:01:11 AM Hi!
I keep reading about people that have their memory downclocked to 3xx mhz.. How is that possible? I have tried nearly anything, from rivatuner, CCC, msi afterburner and i cant set my memory speeds lower than the stock 1200mhz? Can someone point me in the direction, to a guide or some program, that will solve this? Im running CCC 11.4 as of now, might that be the problem? Title: Re: 5770 downclock memory? Post by: Tyran on May 16, 2011, 11:21:52 AM You need to save a new CCC profile.
Then you navigate to C:\Users\YourUserName\AppData\Local\ATI\ACE\Profiles\ and edit the file ProfileName.xml You will see something like this: Code: <Feature name="MemoryClockTarget_0"> Then just save the file and apply your profile in CCC. The minimum clock should now be 300 and you can move the slider down. Note: If you're not on windows 7/vista, the profile will be in a different location. Title: Re: 5770 downclock memory? Is it the same as "preset" ? Title: Re: 5770 downclock memory? Post by: Tyran on May 16, 2011, 11:29:32 AM Yes, sorry, it was called profile in older versions of CCC ;)

I have downloaded the beta of msi afterburner, i can set memory speeds to 600mhz in that, which lowered my temp by about 4C.. But would love for it to go lower, just cant figure out how i set this darn thing :b Title: Re: 5770 downclock memory? Overdrive is always enabled, quess i must go on searching for answers :D - at least it helped a bit on the temperature, with lower mem speeds, without doing anything bad to my performance..
