Some help could be more competition for Casascius (which is great btw. I have bought some of his coins recently & satisfied :) ) - which will mean lowering spreads on the psychical coins and give them bit more exchanging value - now they are more like a promotional & collection gadget. By answering your own question (immediately) shows a closed mind and its a bit sad really. Still, ignoring your answer a more appropriate view is "never say never". As the depression deepens merchants must cut costs to survive.
