Post by: RageCores on June 02, 2012, 02:45:32 PM
Hey Guys,

My co-worker was telling me about 5Lines.net and how it's made "so much money" from it. So I registered, and after you register, it has a "BitCoin" on there... So, that means there people using bitcoin on this site..

I'm wondering who's signed up and what experience have you gotten from this site?

Site: www.5Lines.net (http://www.5Lines.net)

hmm... if their algorithm is so great, why sell it?

Einewton can you post some of their predictions for today so we can see how they do? Winning the past 5 games sounds good. but what if you're being paid to promote it and you're just lying?

I need a quick run down on how to use this. I'm not a sports fan unfortunately and have never actually gambled on sports a result. Offering some BTC's if Einewton or RageCores can help me!

Well this looked like too much fun to pass up. I decided to purchased a subscription.

I'll wait till 5Lines activates my account till I can begin investigating how this works..

Also opened an account on sportsbook.com after searching for a while. They looked the most decent and trustworthy and easiest to start with. Deposited $50 there with $5 bonus... so that's setup.

Can anyone give me any advice at this point? Like what games am I going to be betting on? what do I need to be careful of? etc. I want to avoid newb mistakes if possible.

Hey why don't we talk about something I think is very important now that I've bought a subscription: SERIES LENGTH.

If my unit is set at $5 I need a minimum recommended bankroll of 157.97 according to the site. If I adjust my series length I see that my recommended bankroll changes based on that. Question is what are the overall odds of winning a series length of 5 which is what seems to be default? If I lose 5 games then I lose 157.97? but if I win each game I make only $25 ($5 x 5 days) on the normal series! this assumes I bet $5.00 only! that's without taking into considering that some games you need to bet MORE than your $5 unit to double. like today on the run line, I needed to bet $7.00 to make $5.00.

Reminds me of Blackjack, where in theory, odds are always in favor of the house because no one has a bankroll large enough to beat the house, and even if they did, there is a limit in Blackjack so you cannot win your money back!

That is correct... So, Let's say you are a flat better. According to their record for flat betting, that means that you don't double or triple up, you just flat bet $100 (To Win) per day...

"Won: 42 Lost: 28"  <-- 5Lines.NET Record.

This means that you will have a total of 14 games that you won.. That's $1,400 and no doubling up, but then you take into account the cost of the bet. Most of them are -110 wich is 10% if your bet size, and others are a little more, so, really, you might make about $900 or $1,000 after that cost.

I plugged in $100 on the unit size and 5Lines is telling me my next Flat Series amount is calculated to be: 200 ?

I shot them an email, ill see what they come back with... That doesnt sound right to me at all.

Ok cool. and especially since it shows 200 on both lines, even when yesterdays Total Line won.

ha-ha, it is man, SportsBook.com is awesome. They've got really fair lines.

Hey why don't we talk about something I think is very important now that I've bought a subscription: SERIES LENGTH.

Can we ban both of these guys, since they are obviously both affiliated with the site and likely the same person?

Good Afternoon,

We've identified the problem with the flat line. Thank you for bringing this to our attention. Issue resolved. You will see the correct calculation now.

We will be preforming quality control after the game to ensure that the lines continue to calculate the correct amount.

Your comment about the documentation on our website is on top of our list. We realize that the site is lacking the much requested and needed documentation.

lol, I bitched about how its confusing to poke it, haha.

hey it's all good, because I think I found profitability and something that simultaneously boggles my mind-

so I've been doing more poking around, observing. and I noticed something that sticks out to me.. the Total Line record has been vastly more profitable. for one, the cost is lower / some don't cost anything, and the record is better. 22 games won 14 lost, versus the Run Line 20 games won 14 lost. so just why would anyone bet on the Run Line? it's significantly less profitably mainly because the cost. playing $100 on the Total Line looks like it would give you those $900+ profit numbers.

Yeah.. I noticed that as well.. And it seems to continue to be that way, Im not sure if it will get better or not, so i keep at it.

I've always had the best luck sticking to it... Plus there is more action.. haha.. It may be a good idea to only do the total line as it has proven to be more profitable.

If I don't get banned I'll let you know how I do in the coming days.

Thanks for helping.

Awesome win today on the run line!

*high five*

Yeah!! It felt good to have my first win. Although I only won $3.57, that almost covers the cost for 2 Powerball lottery tickets! which is kinda nice. Lol. see what I did there?  :D Didn't want to pass up a chance to win 157 million after tax. Imagine the bankroll I'd be working with then? or the chance to invest millions into Bitcoin and make governments angry. Was worth the $4 chance. Sorry I completely changed the topic. I'm excited about this win.

Oh well we lost the other game. Just thought I'd also mention that I will be betting $8 next game, going on Total Line only henceforth to see how that pans out for perhaps a week.

2 wins today. I decided to bet on both as run line cost was only 10%

congrats if you played

Question for Einewton since you seem the most knowledgeable.

The cost given is the odds basically, in American format (unless there's somewhere to change it to decimal and I missed it) if I'm understanding this correctly. The problem I see is that the odds they give you to bet at aren't always found. So for instance, if today's total line bet (at normal, 5 units, and 5 series length) is 21.8 to both recoup from the last two losses and make 1 unit profit, that is contingent upon your last bets being at odds predicted by 5lines, which from looking at a few bookmakers are not the odds actually given. So for instance today I would have to find a bookmaker where the odds for the total score of the Cincinnati game being above 8 are -110. I just looked at two bookmakers and found -104 and and -106. So unless I'm really missing something, there's no way to change the amounts on 5lines to account for your personal bookmakers odds. I hope this made sense and I can clarify if need be.
Thanks in advance for your response.

The one I'm using is exactly the same as 5lines.net - Maybe I got lucky? www.Sportsbook.ag watch out though because the bet limit is limited to under $1000 I think.. $5000 would be necessary for those who do a 7 series betting $50 (high roller)

Yo one little concern of mine.. is anything you make a taxable income in the United States? I thought betting was illegal.

Title: Re: Who's used 5Lines.net
Post by: TehZomB on June 18, 2012, 03:18:43 AM
No, online sports betting is illegal in the US. Betting is only legal in Nevada (hence Vegas) in person.

That refers to gambling, not sports betting. More and more states are allowing table games. Further research shows that more states than Nevada (though not many more) allow sports betting.

Hmm are there no games this Sunday? "Next Winning team will be released in 19 hours and 51 minutes"

Title: Re: Who's used 5Lines.net
Post by: ridgemont4 on June 18, 2012, 07:34:37 AM
now it says "20 hours and 34 minutes"

I was assuming this was an every day thing. last Sunday the Padres played so I don't know if their system is broken or something. Doesn't seem normal..

anyhow.. with a 3-2 win/loss I'll be looking to bet $100+ flat in the near future if this keeps up.

Break for a few day's... Thought i would come here to see how well you are doing...

How much have you all made?

I am +90 units... The new low juice picks are awesome.

I'm using $50 unit size... I've made $4,500

Doing this with these guys is more like a really good investment...

Well you're doing very good.. Glad you made this thread. Thanks

So far I've doubled. $50 deposit has become $113 but it could have been more if I had the guts to chase more.

What's your chase set at? do you recall how high your highest bet was?

Congrats to both of you guys. With today's picks (I only do the total and Low Juice) I've made some really good money.

Doubling is amazing... In a whole years time, most people can't even double their money in the stock market at wall street unless you are very lucky. Using 5Lines it doubles my money every month so far.

ridgemont4, do you run with the high juice? It just get scared when I have to chase on the high juice.

I cashed out my initial bankroll + the $65 that I paid for 5Lines... So now I'm investing back purely the money made from this.

very nice. I only play the total line. may have played the run line a little in the beginning. and yes you are right, my account doubles in about a month.. it's really great. have not been about to cash out yet, but I'll keep you all informed. that is the only real concern of mine, since I do online betting with an overseas bookie. I want my account to at least quadruple from here before I'm willing to take some money out. and then i'll be like you, betting purely off money I've made. however I'm not set up to withdraw money yet, still need to submit two items to prove my identity, then wait and see if the check will ever come in the mail. but I'm not that worried.

Nice, I know your with an A+ book, so I'm sure it's all good.. How did the Bitcoin book pan out?

One thing I did not like was the max bet was very low (under 4 btc) and the min bet was 1 BTC. but the real issue was Bitcoin itself.. I'm really not very into it to be honest.

Title: Re: Who's used 5Lines.net

The max bet used to be larger, and that was back when one bitcoin was worth $20. someone must've taken them to the cleaners. Either way, there's a lot of action available on btcsportsmatch.com. If you're willing to pay more juice, anonibet has worked fine for me with bets as high as 40 BTC. They also have alternate spreads and totals for baseball.
