Why you think so?

I am very interested in CPU-only coins and this one seems to be a nice candidate.

but the coin is not good. the heart of dev is bad

he donot care for anything

this is not  CPU-only coin.

Yeah i got that the wallet isn't for mining.... but the fact that doesn't sync.... Anyway i forgot to check the post about the 3 nodes and just some hour ago i had to report BitZeny dead.... let's see if those nodes works or not

https://www.miningrigrentals.com/rigs/23061    13.56Khash/s      :-\

well but is even more of the advertised hashrate of only 12.5K and i'm not still sure if the coin got changes or not from when i last posted in this thread

There is nothing to promote the zny.

Development in this post is not active.

we can say that the only thing keeping the bitzeny alive is the community and not the dev that doesn't appear in this thread to answer the questions of the community

Current Active Workers    100+

Then somebody must tell me why the coin isn't launching (i use the x64 version) and doesn't even shows a error message, this is going litteraly in circles because nobody is even trying to tell me why it is happening....

NEW - BitZeny YeScrypt-0.5 mining rig rental:

http://rentrig.co/rigs/23061

Happy Mining  ;D

So wait, this means that you have synced the wallet? could you please post the active nodes please? I asked time ago for even one but nobody answered me back about this fact

Sorry, no wallet :-(

Wait, you don't have the wallet but posted a link of a mining rig rental? I don't understand now the whole thing, because i downloaded the BitZeny wallet time ago and it didn't started to sync, and i posted here asking for at least a conf file.... You know that your statement made me into confusion?

I had to disable ZNY on the pool.
First, yescrypt algo was not the good one.

Then I tried to implement yescrypt algo used by the BitZeny wallet, but the shares are still not valid.
I'm looking for a solution

I found "How to create bitzeny pool"
Please use Google Translate.

http://zakki.mona-digest.net/?p=84

---

According to the information,
You need to clone the following sources :
Python is 2.7

$ git clone https://github.com/bitzeny/zny_yescrypt_python.git zny_yescrypt_addon
$ git clone https://gist.github.com/9db1723161bc2650a1b1.git stratum-mining-znypatch

and [stratum.patch] in [stratum-mining-znypatch]
This source have one typo

[NG]
if settings.COINDAEMON_ALGO == ‘zny_yesscrypt‘:

->

[Good]
if settings.COINDAEMON_ALGO == ‘zny_yescrypt‘:

---
I hope it helps you.

Where will I be able to buy/sell ur tokens after ICO?
Do your research dude.... This coin is old. There is no ICO.
You can exchange on C-Cex.

For those wondering, there are a few reasons for its price rise:
1. New client in the works. https://github.com/BitzenyCoreDevelopers
2. New miner in the works along with new pools. https://github.com/ohac/wasmminer
3. Misc software goodies in development. https://github.com/monaco-ex/docker-bitzenyd
4. A new wallet (with perfect English version). https://bitzeny.jp/ https://twitter.com/zenywallet
5. Very active twitter community and tipping bot. https://twitter.com/zenyhime?lang=en
6. Collaboration with some sort of online game. https://twitter.com/ninjasoulprj?lang=en
7. Its recently active wiki. http://bitzeny.cswiki.jp/
8. An active mascot (ZenyHime) + cute Telegram sticker package. https://i.imgur.com/yzGzLtC.jpg
9. Active Telegram group.
10. Active forums. https://bitzeny.info
11. Web-shop accepting Zeny. http://zenyshop.jp/
12. Likely to be listed on Yobit by next week (5th Nov<). Other exchanges are in negotiation. https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=877.9980
More importantly:
13. The success of Monacoin, another Japanese crypto currency. https://coinmarketcap.com/currencies/monacoin/

How's that for a transparent and documented coin review?

I don't know about Windows 10, I used Win 8.1 and had that message once or twice. After a few minutes, it started syncing again. My wallet is now fully synced.
You can try exiting and then re-opening the wallet a few minutes later, maybe that will help.

Hi cbcbctqbt.

GroovalBoost-Y has many same questions, but CPU mining is best for BITZENY.
In addition, GPUminer is still under development.
I do not know what kind of results will come out, but if it is the same as my prediction, it would be better to mine with CPU. :)

It will be good if we have gpu mining as well for this coin, it will give us superiority over those coins which are only cpu mineable.
Also the hashing power will be needed as this coin is becoming popular, difficulty is increasing.
Therefore more hashing power is needed to compete for the block.

The point of this coin is to be minable on standard PCs. GPU mining would ruin it and would defeat the entire point of this currency. If you want to GPU mine, go find another coin.

-a yescrypt -o stratum+tcp://crypto.n-engine.com:6234 -u Zu2ZdkSDsq3txDoriADJDDFtd7Gzd6FYA3 -p stats

Zu2ZdkSDsq3txDoriADJDDFtd7Gzd6FYA3 must be a valid BitZeny wallet

Is it just me or is BitZeny really starting to pick up in terms of English speaking community activity? I have the feeling it is also partly thanks to the increasing attention that Yenten (YTN) is getting lately. People start with Yenten and find out that there is a mother of all cpu mining coins named Bitzeny  ;D

This coin is only CPU mining algorithm? If yes i will try to mine it. On what exchange dev you planned to list this coin?

Edit: now i see is from 2014 OP and is listed on c-cex.
If i will try mining it will work?

For doubters, see:
Where will I be able to buy/sell ur tokens after ICO?
Do your research dude.... This coin is old. There is no ICO.
You can exchange on C-Cex.

For those wondering, there are a few reasons for its price rise:
1. New client in the works. https://github.com/BitzenyCoreDevelopers
2. New miner in the works along with new pools. https://github.com/ohac/wasmminer
3. Misc software goodies in development. https://github.com/monaco-ex/docker-bitzenyd
4. A new wallet (with perfect English version). https://bitzeny.jp/ https://twitter.com/zenywallet
5. Very active twitter community and tipping bot. https://twitter.com/zenyhime?lang=en
6. Collaboration with some sort of online game. https://twitter.com/ninjasoulprj?lang=en
7. Its recently active wiki. http://bitzeny.cswiki.jp/
8. An active mascot (ZenyHime) + cute Telegram sticker package. https://i.imgur.com/yzGzLtC.jpg
9. Active Telegram group.
10. Active forums. https://bitzeny.info
11. Web-shop accepting Zeny. http://zenyshop.jp/
12. Likely to be listed on Yobit by next week (5th Nov<). Other exchanges are in negotiation. https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=877.9980
More importantly:
13. The success of Monacoin, another Japanese crypto currency. https://coinmarketcap.com/currencies/monacoin/

How's that for a transparent and documented coin review?

Further to this, it's been added to two more exchanges. Stocks.Exchange and Crypto-Bridge.

??? really what is going on with this cryptocurrency? No point for price to go up, but..  ??? ???
Most of the community is active in the Japanese part of this forum and on various Japanese only websites, and Twitter.
Just because you can't see activity in English doesn't mean it's dead. There is a booming foreign community behind it. Please see list above.

And get ready for the dump. I wonder who will but the suckers at the end holding the bag???
Mad you missed out?

This is a pump by Japanese group. The group is now advertising very hard with Twitter.
Proof? If you mean ZenyHime, the cute BitZeny Mascot, then yeah, she's the tipping bot.

Strange. A client restart always fixes this for me. Maybe it's to do with a router or firewall problem?
If you start typing "no block source available" into Google it will throw a bunch of suggestions with various coins, so it's not a BitZeny client issue.
You could see if any suggestions here fix your issue: https://bitcoin.stackexchange.com/questions/12952/how-to-resolve-no-block-source-available

Thanks for the advice, but it didn't work for me. BitZeny-Qt seems indeed forked from the first bitcoin client.
That webpage suggests to upgrade to the latest version (which is almost always a good suggestion), but in BitZeny case, the latest version is 3 years old. I'm not sure time spent on it is time well spent.

Thanks for the help! I've actually decided to start folding instead but I'm sure it will help charlietalk :)

I'm sorry, but can you read? Or are you one of those silly noob/ICO investors who goes on CMC, looks at trending coins and goes to troll and fud the community?
It has been explained multiple times how the Japanese community is very exclusive (they don't need foreigners to sustain a coins value), they have their own forums and communication channels.
If you can't be bothered to go back literally 1 page of this thread (to page 12) where everything is carefully explained and pointed out then I feel very sorry for you and your money.

It is astonishing how you were even so lazy to read the very first post on this page... SoundCloud tipping bot. But, apparently to you, that's not a real use-case.
Lazy fud, get lost.

Encountered same problem with wallet application sync.

According to log the problem is that peer list file is empty 0_o
Solution:
  1. Menu -> Help -> Debug Window.
  2. Select Console tab.
  3. Enter each line and press "Enter" (don't expect anything like "Command accepted" etc, console stays silent if this command is successful):
Code:
        addnode 64.137.196.189 add
        addnode 124.110.89.10:9253 add
        addnode 157.7.222.158:9253 add
        addnode 163.172.156.25:9253 add
        addnode 220.100.89.8:9253 add
        addnode 153.168.49.67:9253 add
        addnode 123.254.33.254:9253 add
        addnode 122.197.141.186:9253 add
List taken from this message (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=849994.msg25727244#msg25727244 (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=849994.msg25727244#msg25727244)), thanx to LycheeBit. Btw, their pool works very well; personal stats jump like crazy, but the average hashrate is correct compared to miner results, - although workers disappear sometimes from the dashboard; dashboard real-time update would be great.

So  that worked for me, sync process started in few minutes.

I'd be careful of c-cex they delisted a coin of mine that today would be worth about 20,000 usd. Terrible customer service. They would not return my coins either, or my lost ethereum transactions that left my account but never showed up at its destination

hi,
anyone is mining on lapool.me ?
i was started to mine about two days ago. mined about 5 coins on lapool.me:3014 .
then server side had problems and it was mentioned on website after couple of hours, when i noticed that minerd was sending stratum_subscribe send failed.
so i did not pay much attention for that.

i'm wondering what did gone wrong with pool and/or minerd that when notification was removed I still getting same message.

thanks in advance

lapool is so sloooow and you are mining at 1% pool fee. try soup.misosi.ru, this pool does not apply fees and much more stable

Does anyone know if bitzeny/cpuminer is supported on Windows Server 2003 R2? I've recently tried to start it but got a message that normaliz.dll is not found. Tried to download it but there was no change in the miner's behavior.

Is there minimal requirements to the release of the OS?

P.s. I have a server with 4 x AMD Opteron 880 and win server 2003 r2 installed. Also it's possible to install Red Hat Enterprise 5.

Go for the linux. always choose linux... unless realy need MS or Apple BS...

you forgot to mention if 2k3 R2 (btw amazing os) is 64bit or 32bit (on this one you can not mine with precompiled minerd on older AMDs - cuz no sse4 on them...).
I do not now if you can compile it from source on or for 32bit Win OS win no SSE4, but if you can than you could run it.

Also I want know how minerd works on multi cpu systems with old OS (if manual CPU affinity assignment is required or not). -> just curiosity

lapool is so sloooow and you are mining at 1% pool fee. try soup.misosi.ru, this pool does not apply fees and much more stable
lapool was more stable, steady and accurate in terms of hash detection and given works. dashboard info too.
in lapool I had 99% efficiency and 1% fee (in all 5 mined coins from beginning).
in misosi I have now mined only ~2 coins, with 80% eff. and no fee.  (~1 coin with 4threads, another one with 3 threads, cuz 4threads seems unstable)
also mining itself on misosi:16002  looks weird. on 16001 does not even mine , cuz my cpus (all have 4 threads each) are not strong. mining on all 4 threads is unstable. on 3 threads is more stable and reports same hashrate like on 4threads in both misosi and lapool.
which one is better (if both are runing xD)?
so if I will notice any significant and worth to mention changes. You will be posted.

I use Win Server 2003 R2 x64 and tried the precompiled version of cpuminer x64 without sse4 support from bitzeny.org

I'm a little afraid of compiling cpuminer on Red Hat Enterprise Linux 5 because it's the only linux officially supported by my HP DL 585 G1 and I didn't see any instructions how to compile cpuminer on Red Hat Linux. All instructions which I've seen were about compiling on Ubuntu Server, but it's impossible to install this OS on HP DL 585 G1 server.

what do you think about the price in near future?
Thank you!

Same for me. But now miner shows error "stratum_recv_line failed" while connecting to lapool.

Hello and welcome to our thread!
I don't want to lie to you, and I encourage you to label anyone who claims they can "predict" the price of any coin, either via silly triangles on graphs or otherwise, a liar.
I have no idea what the price will be in the near future. There are various activities going on with the coin, see the previous page of this thread.
I would personally be happy for this coin to reach a stable $0.50 by next summer, maybe $1 by the end of next year! I'm just being realistic here.

Please remember that past performance does not indicate future returns, invest responsibly! Good luck :)

Yeah, updated - with links to lapool which is impossible to connect to, zenymdpool which is unavailable and BitZeny Graph at site which is no longer supported.

the current prices doesn't reflect the true value of ZNY community
I'd say that current stagnant prices completely reflect the state of ZNY: no effective pools, dev seems to be drinking sake.

I'm sorry, you are correct. There are some links to pools which should have been removed during the recent update.
The others are working fine according to the jp community.

There were a few new tweets on the original developer's account in the recent days.
https://twitter.com/bitzeny
I cannot confirm the authenticity of the person behind the tweets, but according to the tweets he will be slowly getting back into development, little by little. Maybe he had enough sake, eh?
He also thanked the community for showing support for the coin all these years.

Let's not forget about the other community efforts, evident on bitzeny.info and activities which were outlined in the previous pages of this thread.

As for the valuation of the coin, I agree with you again. I believe it is currently fairly priced and has been mostly stable since the large and predictable correction from $0.60.
C-CEX's holiday mode is unfortunate, but it seems the community has already found a new home on Crypto-Bridge, as the trading volumes reflect.

Yep. According to their statistics it takes about 24h to find a new block. But you will get the reward, i had pretty the same situation.
Lycheebit is very slow; lapool was much better, but it rejects many miners now.

At least lycheebit seems to be working, I'm on this site now. I mined on lapool some time ago, it worked pretty well when they had just 1k - 1.5k workers. But with 6k - 7k workers it was really hard to connect to the pool. I faced the situation when my workers was trying to connect to the lapool during the whole day and failed to do that. So, I just lost possibilities to earn some coins on that day...

Zeny MD pool is available on http://n-zeny.mdpool.info/

So, which pool is the best for mining now?

Is it true that BitZeny dev returned the activities? Is it just a person or a group? Why is the blockexpolorer in coinmarketcap not up to date? What can we expect from this coin? I'll buy some on CryptoBridge.

Eh .. actually the net hashrate is about 30 mhs.
I suppose you were on poor pool - where it takes ages to get new blocks.

Startup speed will be much faster than original QT.

z1.3.0 or higher is not recommended at this time.
It is still under development.

The first startup is the same as the old wallet.
Next Startup time becomes faster.

And fixes the problem not connecting to SeedNode.

Why not start a new thread for this with an OP containing up to date information?

This exchange market is missing from this thread's OP and bitzeny hasn't been active since 2014.

Actually it is in the midst of taking over with the original developer.
Reason for rewriting thread information itself, so it is not planned to renew.
There are too many things to do and events to keep up with it. lol

Thanks bit I think your pool has to low hashrates totally at the moment. It is hard for miners to come and join your pool.

It looks like BitZeny is the samurai coin! Do you know any or consider yourself? If so, welcome! The ZNY is becoming very popular in Japan, soon, it will be possible to rival MonaCoin, which nowadays is the preferred domestic currency.

New Releases.

BitZeny-qt ver 2.0 series

https://github.com/BitzenyCoreDevelopers/bitzeny/releases

Since defects are currently confirmed in the Mac version, we are adjusting the improved version.

The following improvements were made in this version.

  • The version of Bitcoin-core that was responsible for the base was changed to 0.9 >> 1.5.
  • Segwit, Lightning-Network, Atomic-swap are ready.
  • Garbled characters on Mac were improved.
  • Speed up next time startup.

that's all.

I want you to be careful.

bitzeny2.0 has to change the minor program to a new one.

https://github.com/JayDDee/cpuminer-opt

Use this version,

It is OK if you use this beautiful supporter's made here.

https://github.com/macchky/cpuminer/releases/tag/v2.6.0

You can not use "setgenerate" of the qt command, so be careful.

Please continue to support further development from now on.
And thank you for always supporting.
I love you. ;)

Hi cbcbctqbt.

One of the various events I'm thinking in the future is IT engineer 's event.

BBcode should be included among them.

It is unknown what shape it will be, but I think that it is good to be an interesting event.

In the meantime, I have received a (bit puzzling) email in Japanese from the Bitzeny team acknowledging that there is a problem. It is just not clear to me what the solution is to open up the online wallet again. I also noticed that since yesterday a new email button appeared on the wallet website. So, just sent a request for support. I hope we can get this resolved without having to install qt-wallet and download the whole blockchain.

Followed by a swift response from the Bitzeny team: solved! They unlocked the wallet as they did not find any problems: "It was to prevent stealing your coins by hackers. In the later investments, I found that there was no password leak with your account."

Well done Bitzeny team!

We added BitZeny to the Cheddur app (https://www.cheddur.com)! This will allow new users to learn about BitZeny and join the community. Cheddur allows you to link wallets, exchanges, and other services that support ZNY so that new users can easily get started. You can also review the project and post your ZNY addresses on your profile to receive tips/payments/donations in ZNY from other users :)

Can others from the community please review the profile for quality and help add supported services? The more active the BitZeny profile is (via user reviews and addresses), the higher it ranks in search results and the more likely newcomers are to discover the BitZeny project!

[Technical road map]

2018/01(Done)
BitZeny ver 2.0 is released.
https://github.com/BitzenyCoreDevelopers/bitzeny/releases
The version of Bitcoin-core that was responsible for the base was changed to 0.9 >> 0.15.

2018/04(this month)
Softfork for BIP68, BIP112, and BIP113.
We strongly recommend using Ver 2.0.1 for this soft fork.

https://github.com/BitzenyCoreDevelopers/bitzeny/commit/e9735bc37e03bdaebd23f46dc82167d72ccfdb12

2018/05
Segwit (BIP141, BIP143, and BIP147) will be activate(need 2.0.x Client)

2018/06-07
BitZeny Ver 3.0 with new icon
This version of Bitcoin-core that was responsible for the base was changed to 0.15 >> 0.16.

https://github.com/BitzenyCoreDevelopers/bitzeny/projects/3

[Undecided]

- Update work of bitzeny.org

Original developer is missing again...
The New Dev team may make the new portal and ANN.

- Change yescrypt-0.5 to another algorithm

Because yescrypt-0.5 was mined by GPU, it may hard fork if the impact is big.
argon2d and cryptnight (monero ver) are listed, but it is not fixed.

This project is at least after July 2018.

Softfork for BIP68, BIP112, and BIP113 is successfull from block 1206400.
We strongly recommend using Ver 2.0.1 for this soft fork.

https://github.com/BitzenyCoreDevelopers/bitzeny/releases

As a result of this soft fork,
atomic swap of MONA and BitZeny 2.0.1 succeeded!

We have not contacted bitzeny.org owner yet.
Site update is a big issue now.

After the soft fork, Bitzeny is rejecting "0-fee" transaction.
However some exchanges have not finished their update core yet.
Therefore some transactions are still rejected.

That is why the relief pool was open to solve the problem temporary.
http://macyan.net:8080/
When you all succeed in mining at this pool, "0-fee" transactions are approved.

Please update the core quickly by May 31st, 2018.

SegWit locked_in on BitZeny 2.0.x.
So, what's happening with BitZeny? She lost her space in CryptoBridge as one of the main options of pairs of coins! Has dev definitely not returned? I knew they were discussing some important changes to the site and thread but that dev participation was needed! I have the 2.0.0 wallet I'll update when I return to my country! Now there are two different chains? News for non-Asian people is restricted. Today, 31st, is it an important day for some decisions?

Yes, today is the wonderful day.

The original Dev that created this ANN is missing.
But coind of the New Dev team who developed 2.x succeeded in segwit.
Segwit becomes a soft fork, so the chain is still one.
It is also possible to import wallet.dat from z1.1.x.

When contacting about updates for segwit, there was a negative response from several exchanges.
But New Dev Team wanted to make segwit to successfull.

It is an advantage of open source that evolving independently of specific developers.

When will we have the release of BitZeny Plus? Actually, I mean, a wallet with improvements and with that new name! Some exchanges refused Segwit? Why? It's a technology that aggregates values... The old dev is not part of BitZeny Core!? I thought ZNY could compete with MONA in the future, does this future come true?

Interesting! How will this change to BitZeny Plus affect business in CB and other exchanges? Apparently things are moving fast! Precisely would you know the date of the update for ZNY Plus? BitZeny is so 'sugoi', but unfortunately it's necessary to separate the bond with the old dev that abandoned this incredible coin.

One person is no longer able to support and develop cryptocurrency. This applies not only to bitzeny, but any other coin. That is why the popularity of the coin is so strongly influenced by the presence of a large and experienced team of developers.

What are you talking about? Is it about BitZeny Plus? I think you won't have to do anything other than upgrade the client to 3.0.0 in the future... Maybe I'm wrong, but the community will inform the steps correctly! It's likely that ZNY is Yespower and no more Yescrypt... I'm just trader, technical information is easily discussed in github! ;)

BitZeny has no team and no leader.
Because the original developers no longer exist, the geeks are just playing BitZeny as they like.
For example, the website is one that someone made without permission, it is not an official one. He is no longer willing to do maintenance.
Therefore we can not see what will happen in the future.
You'd better not expect anything.

Attracting to the investors and spreading the information about this project can be attained if the team really have to create a good advertisement and social marketing strategy campaign.

BitZeny has always been in the hands of the community! I still think the work is being done and about the delay, it's something natural because without a leader or dev like you mentioned, you need the approval of the majority of the community.

Calculator to calculate what? BitZeny is full PoW, there is nothing you can calculate, unless you want to know about your CPU capacity for mining.

Yes, this update is mandatory for security reason.
Other members are creating binary files.

It is true that the debate is delaying the release of BitZenyPlus.
The agreement is very important.

However, it does not mean that we do not maintain bitzeny.

Because vulnerability remains in z2.0.1, please mining with z2.0.2.

I think it's ok now and ZNY is in the correct chain. Either way, use version 2.0.2.

The 3rd halving of ZNY is approaching, are there chances of wallet 3.0.0 being released from it? If that happens, we'll see ZNY+, right?

In most cases, halvings of block rewards result in good movements of price.
But, it is not true all the time.
So, I think that promising to come with next block halving of BitZeny, but we all should be as carefully with it as possible.
I think in the case of ZNY, this theory won't apply, the community is passionate and they would buy or sell every BitZeny at any price, no matter the real situation! In addition, there are no miners behind profits, because the price doesn't is profitable at the moment, but it's good to be careful.

BitZeny's deposit and withdrawal has been resumed from now.

What was going on?
We are creating an explanation here.
(I apologize for not being completed yet)

We strongly recommend you to upgrade to v2.0.2.

Nice news! Hitobb, what can be done to BitZeny be more secure in this type of attack in the future? We are likely to have a tendency of these attacks and safe coins will have an advantage! BitZeny even being mining CPU is still vulnerable, so, what can be done?

Code:
 -o stratum+tcp://yescryptR8.mine.zergpool.com:6323 -u <YOURZNYWALLET> -p c=ZNY,mc=ZNY

Option 3 Direct coin mining with autoexchange to specified coin wallet
Code:
 -o stratum+tcp://yescryptR8.mine.zergpool.com:6323 -u <YOURBTCWALLET> -p c=BTC,mc=ZNY

Note:
bitzeny core v2.0.z may have serious vulnerabilities related to blockchain networks. There is no such vulnerability in the MottyLab version core. The pool operators contributing to network formation should update core to v0.16.3 or v0.16.4 as soon as possible.
・The MottyLab version takes about 50 minutes to start up.

They are a very democratic team. They emphasize consensus building, consult, and do not decide anything and do nothing ahead. That's why the release of the segwit address wallet, an important update, has been delayed until today. And it's unclear at any point in time whether it will be released. I can not feel like joining such a team.  :)

The fast startup version of Bitzeny core has been released

Bitzeny core v0.16.5 is a high speed version of v0.16.3.
Bitzeny Plus core v0.16.6 is a high speed version of v0.16.4.

download:
https://github.com/MottyLab/bitzeny/releases/

・The index load time at startup is around 2 minutes.
・Eliminated the v2.0.x core vulnerability and achieved speed up with simple code.
・Block hash cache is used only at startup. Since it does not use this cache during normal operation, it has the same robustness and reliability as Bitcoin.

http://i63.tinypic.com/2mrz6u0.jpg

Note:
・If you run a server and you do not want to use block hash cache at all, please use v0.16.3 or v0.16.4. The startup time is around 40 minutes.
・The cache data of the block hash currently in use conflicts with the block of the main DB under the influence of the orphan that occurs twice a day. It is recommended to delete and rebuild the hashes folder. It takes about one hour to rebuild. Please use v0.16.5 or v0.16.6 when using block hash cache.
・ If you are using Core as a hobby, we recommend the fast startup version.

Raw DB contents: DB folders of blocks, chainstate and hashes

Installation procedure:
・ Download from Google Drive: Bitzeny-DB-txi0-190328.zip

Emergency information: Update Bitzeny's Core Wallet

A security hole has been identified in the Bitzeny v2.0.x core. The server operator should update the core wallet, as there is a risk that the server will go down.

Attack Summary:
A method to bring down a server by DoS attack that exploits a vulnerability of block hash cache (hashes DB).

importance:
Medium level.

Measures:
・Please update to the MottyLab version v0.16 core.
・We recommend version v0.16.6.

download:
https://github.com/MottyLab/bitzeny/releases/tag/z0.16.6

Source code:
https://github.com/MottyLab/bitzeny/tree/z0.16.6

Requirements:
・ If you know the contact information of the pool operator, please cooperate in information transmission.
・ We will ask the official members to contact exchanges etc.

Additional Notes:
・Note that coins derived from Bitzeny, such as Bellcoin, may have the same vulnerability.

that's all.

change history:
19/04/07: This attack turned out to be inefficient, so importance was reduced to high to medium.

Bitzeny Plus v0.16.7 has been released

This is a version that raised the minimum remittance fee for spam Tx measures.
 Before change: 0.00001 ZNY/kB
 After change: 0.001 ZNY/kB

It is effective to update the pool with about 90% network hash rate share to this version. By leaving older versions of the core in some pools, it also takes time, but also enables traditional low fee remittances.

BitZeny was confused by a wallet that other coin developers (MottyLab) don't agree with the community.

If you want to change the specification with your own thoughts, you should do it outside.

Other coin developers were not favored by the community,
If the purpose is confusing, the purpose may have been achieved.

BitZeny is a decentralized project without pre-mine.
BitZeny needs time to become active again,
It will not disappear due to interference with other coins.

New initiatives are also starting to take place.
Electrum fo BitZny for Trezor has also been released.
I will continue to cheer for a long time.

Will there ever be version 3.0.0 of the wallet? Bitzeny development seems to have stopped or is at a slow pace after a period of time. If the community doesn't die, naturally the coin won't die either. Bitzeny is one of the few coins worth any kind of effort and interaction. I hope this is not lost. I'll be waiting for updates and news.
