For Immediate Release - August, 03 2015

last year we set out to create an, open system that the world could practice philanthropy, we believed the idea was brilliant and was meant to be shared. Along the way we launched a coin explorer, coin faucet and designed some beautiful websites to complement our idea. However due to lack support interest and community involvement of the project and overall altcoin market conditions we have decided to shut down Gcoin XGC effective immediately.

The systematic shutdown of all services due to follow. 
 
We want to thank those who supported us, we are very grateful and thankful to those who supported us.

For sometime we have been conducting testing on Gcoin interoperability with the pool, wallets and nodes to ensure a smooth launch, all node block-chains will be reset prior to launch day.

We fully expect people to come forward with their claims, criticisms and non-support of what we are doing. But what is always surprising is when people actually steal ideas, intentions and even the name of our initiative. If you understand the goal of Gcoin, you understand its purpose is coming from a place of caring, giving back, and the betterment of humanity. While we wholly expected some people to criticize, disagree or even dislike what we are doing, stealing and making false claims is unacceptable. Our intentions are pure; and those whose aren't, i.e. the ones who steal, imitate, and simply, try to sh** on your good intentions, will always be revealed in the end. If you happen upon another site claiming the idea as their own, you simply have a look at the content and images on their website and you will be able to see for yourself what is legitimate and what isn't. Behind every positive is a negative. Behind every good there is someone who want to ride those coattails to claim the positivity or success as their own. This will never change. As they say, no publicity is bad publicity, so for those who are coming at us with their tactics,  Infringements and thievery, thank you for helping to spread the word about Gcoin. We appreciate it.

Why couldn't you at least pick a UNIQUE name for your coin?!  There has already been a GCoin project going strong for many months now, makes no sense at all.  And you remark about people stealing your ideas and what not.......too funny when you can't even come up with a new and unique name for your coin:-)

Blocks 2-100 had 0 coins to prevent an Instamine. Everything is working the way it should we are up to block 759

Refresh my memory... this type of pool just spits out coins via those addresses and into the open wallet, right?

Edit:  Yep, starting to roll in!

One thing, when I run the wallet it tells me I can't use --server option without name/pass being set, however name and password are set.  Set server=0 to get rid of that.  Same when run with --server option though.

Any new pools?

We have been approached by a few, however we are in no rush to be added at this time, we prefer that more Gcoin is distributed and the community grown first,  I.e "Coin A rushes to exchange no trading volume exists exchange pulls plug, coin dies".

Feel free to collect the bounty of getting us on one for voting.

We hit 500 MH+ this past week, when we get in the 1GH range we will build and host another charity pool,
If no one has collected the bounty on it.
