Title: Estimate Hash Value
Post by: AviThour on November 07, 2014, 11:44:35 AM
I need a help. Like Butterfly's Labs ASIC which costs $50 says it will produce 10 GH/S Hash speed.
I want to know what will be the actual hash speed per second of it?

Thanks.

If it is quoted at 10GH/s it should mine at that speed although for $50 you would be better buying other models of miners such as old bitfury hardware of the new Bitmain U3.

The new bitmain U3 seems pretty slick for the hobbiest miner.

Be sure to look at the GH/W ratio of the miner you buy. You want as many GH per W you can afford. Otherwise you spend more in electricity than you will ever mine in BTC.

If you get free electricity then this doesn't matter. Just how much heat you can handle.
