Title: Coins that generate coins
Post by: bitcoinrocks on November 07, 2014, 03:47:06 PM
NXT generates more NXT through the forging process.

SWARM generates other coins through the dividend process (if kept in Counterwallet).

Are there others?

The NXT forging process just means the forger gets the fees from the transactions in that block. Some blocks have 0 fees and 0 forged coins. That has been my luck all three times I forged.

That said NXT. Does make new coins in a way through Asset Exchange and will make even more in Monetary Supply.

NXT Asset Exchange is essentially just like Counterparty but Monetary System will be more complex.

"generates" could be replaced with "gets" in my original post.

BALLS and M stake daily and you earn more based on how many you hold. It's called minting

ummm.. you mean like every PoS coin?

Someone made a good thread about high % PoS coins that you could make a living off, if you had enough of them. Lemme see if I can find it for you..

Here it is. https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=783697.0

If I were you I would just invest in Pinkcoin: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=836437.0 Check out their threads, they have lotteries and 50/50 draws. You could win 1Mil pink and be an pinkillionaire!

Gridcoin has Supernodes that support the Node infrastructure of other coins and you may be rewarded as well in these other coins.

nxt doesn't generate coins. there is a fixed supply that will not change. forging a block will reward you with transaction fees, those are not new coins.

Like some of the others have said all Proof Of Stake coins creating coins by holding. In some ways similar to earning interest.

I am not sure if i get you. How does a transaction fee considered creating coins? When total supply of coin is fixed, where did you get the coin creation?

try nodecoin, you can start forging now. no 0 block or 0 fees.
forging doesn't based on how much balance. to forging just let your client open with balance minimum 500,000 node.
and waiting to forge random node.
currently 1 node 60 satoshi  ;)

"Earns" might be better.
