Title: Where to trade?
Post by: venlo on November 08, 2014, 03:07:04 AM
Bittrex sucks - everyone left.
Mintpal is dead.
Cryptsy is not first choice.

Where is everyone trading these days? Where is that volume currently?
Thanks for pointing me into the right direction.

Try here.

https://bter.com/

The volume is pretty high there.

[Edit] You can see a list of other exchanges and their trading volumes for Doge coin at the link below. Bter is close to the top of the list for volume.

Every exchange has its strengths and weaknesses, but when everything is taken into consideration Cryptsy is probably the best out of all of them.

What do you have against hobos? :)

Seriously though, I've never had any problems with them. Have I missed something?

(clears throat) HORUS, and whoever was allowed to use the account/name, IS A SCAMMER. NOT A HOBO.  :-*

lol Does taking advantage of people's trust, generosity and good nature mean anything to you ?

I suppose you are also appreciative of their efforts with setting industry standards, such as :
- trollbox insider trading (this has since gone "underground", so to speak)
- the listing/trading of broken and abandoned alts and sketchy IPO/ICOs (Poloniex, Bter, Bittrex and others are very guilty of this. Many/most of these coins are "in house".)
- the use of some form of the fractional reserve accounting system

Whoa there. I deposit, I buy and sell, and I withdraw. It works. That's all I know about cryptsy, which is why I asked the question.  Don't paint me as some kind of villain because I asked a question. Please post a couple links supporting your opinions. If I come to the same conclusions that you obviously have I will use a different exchange.

Let's see if you will keep your hopes up when they will declare bankruptcy and run away with the investor coins.

Admins of Bittrex have no scruples they would even sell your kidneys

just don't leave coins there then....

bittrex is still good to trade. It is one of the most active english trading exchange, just avoid the ICO there.
Somehow, most of the ICO in bittrex turn to scam very often.

WTF Mintpal?

Nobody can trade on Mintpal because its gone bankrupt after everyone's bitcoins were stolen.

I didn't know it.

I wasn't there for months.

In the past it was a good trading place in my view. So sad that mintpal is gone.
Thank you for the correction.
