He was extremely lazy in regards to security of keeping his identity secret. He apparently was not even using a VPN when connecting to the internet at various hotels, which is something you should do regardless of what you are doing

If you're going to run a HUGE underground marketplace PLEASE Save your money! Don't buy Hired killers and expensive cars RIGHT under the noses of the FBI/NSA! MOVE!!!! Move to a country where you at least have half a chance of getting away with it! I would have put ALL my money on SR2 being as far from San Fran as possible. I can't even feel bad for this shit head.
