I am completely new to the scene, I've spent a few hours reading now but I'm having trouble how to set up a good miner with a good pool. I'm also unclear about my ability to use OPENCL. Apparently my graphics card is capable but the graphics card drivers don't reflect it yet? I'm unsure... Looking for some advice on how to set up a windows box with a good pool. Thanks guys! Now, you need an ATI/AMD card, preferably Radeon HD 5970, or 5870 at very least. nVidia's may be good for other stuff, but they suck at mining Bitcoin.

Seems odd that there's such a stark disparity, especially when Nvidia's CUDA is often the platform of choice for scientific number crunching.
