Title: Cryptsy --> Mintpal --> Bittrex --> what's the next alt exchange leader?
Post by: sdersdf3 on November 10, 2014, 09:58:19 AM
Which exchange tends to have the best track record in listing more high-quality coins that last and provide a positive return (as opposed to being a pump-and-dumping ground)? Which one is positioned (volume-wise) to become the next leader? BTER or BT38?

EmpoEX :P www.empoex.com it's pretty new, like 3-4 weeks new. They're doing great job. I've been hired to promote them.
That's not the reason I'm posting here tho. I really like Empo :) They have a bright future ahead

Localbitcoin
Btc-E
CEX.IO

for P&D altcoins

u got Bittrex and C-CEX

C-Cex if they update to their new layout soon could be the next, it's really fast, EmpoEX looks nice too, nice layout and responsive.

Most of the C-cex coins tend to dump and be low-volume to begin with.

I don't trust any of these exchange anymore. Which is sad because I was a fairly active alt trader(making trades daily for the most part) but now I have scaled way back and only trade larger amounts less often and instantly take my coins off the exchanges.

Bittrex is the worst ... and the one I trust the least.

They have presided over more pumps and dumps than any exchange, even allowing Elitecoin to trade there without a clue at the real total of coins available to the thieving devs.

Disgraceful.

exchanges are not responsible for coin devs. You should do your own research before trading any coin

Volume is definitely at https://bittrex.com (https://bittrex.com) over others and they work hard to make sure security is tight, but I really like https://coin-swap.net/ (https://coin-swap.net/) too.

It would be nice to have another "go to" exchange but given the amt traded and the spread of btc/volume, 3 seems to be all the scene can handle at the moment.  Mind you some coins to well at certain exch's and not at others, huh go figure.

Bter is a nice exchange too with plenty of volume and bigger market reach than other.

If a supermarket sell you a violent poison as tea because someone give them money to sell it as tea... well the supermarket is a bit responsible (especially if it happens every weeks or so)

WELCOME TO ALCUREX

ALCUREX OY is an online cryptocurrency exchange based in Finland.

Trade with USD
ALCUREX offers trading, depositing and withdrawing of United States Dollars (USD)
You can currently deposit and withdraw via bank transfers, but more transfer methods will be added later.

The USD market is for trading the exchange's top 3 cryptocurrencies:
- Bitcoin (BTC)
- Litecoin (LTC)
- microCoin (MRC)

alcurex. very little volume. but working to add a section for second markets. coins that will be brand new and not checked if they are legit. Basically will give opportunity to any dev to directly add their coin to the exchange and start trading from day 1. I see this move will make them the next top exchange to go to trade almost every new coin.

to not mistake it as a serious exchange as it will have the "serious" coin section where it will have all the "strong" coin and coins that will be checked to prevent scams.

it also has its own shares where share holders get %50 of the trading volume.

it also has the betting feature where you bet what the price of bitcoin, litecoin and dogecoin will be in few hrs. A feature i dont use at all but it keeps some people busy having fun betting on it.

here is the ANN section.

Some words for shareholders.

SHARES:
Only shares in your account balance can get profit. Not shares in sell orders.
Normally share profits will be balanced daily in your account .

There is 70,980 ALCUREX share held publicly.
Share profits is literally 50% of the exchange profits:
50% of the market feeprofits and 50% of the BET profits.
feeprofit is 0.2% / trade side
BET profit is all "Between bets" loss trades.
Salaries, rents, electricity etc. bills, alcurEX will not exclude from shareholders profits.
Only monthly Server costs are excluded from profits.
Your share daily profit is: Profit * 50% / Shares held publicly * your shares.

FUTURE PLANS:
-Next small job is add some 2.gen coins. Example NXT

-Bigger job is new "Open market".
It will be open for every coins with "add your self" method.
Developers can add new coins by them self.
There is no any kind of coin filter (if wallet have no virus.)

If coin have any potential, it will get moved in main market and BET market.

Hope this will help new coins, and old one who have problem to get marketplace.
Shareholders of course hoping more popularity for alcurEX.

After those, I will start with payment systems.

Those are alcurEX next step plans.
Hope it is suitable for shareholders and customers.

Coinmarketcap lists 24 Hour Volume Rankings for most exchanges. All individual volumes of the alt markets on each exchange are listed together with the total volume.

http://coinmarketcap.com/exchanges/volume/24-hour/

The top eight of today's list ranked in volume is below.

OkCoin Intl. $ 1,952,330
BTC-E $ 946,867
BTER $ 457,266
Cryptsy $ 413,948
BTC38 $ 365,367
Bittrex $ 237,151
BTC China $ 186,421
Bitfinex $ 170,825

BTER and Cryptsy have similar volumes, but Bittrex only has about half BTER's volume.

I do get the sense that Bittrex's lead is shrinking and that it's starting to develop Crypty's rep as a dumping ground.
