But it looks like you are in a very cold climate and have electric heating. I think you meant 40-50 kWh per day is a "lot". 40-50 per month is NOTHING. Although you'd have hated to see my usage last summer (before mining). Can't wait to see my May electric bill. Should be over 3,000 kWh and it isn't even 100F outside (yet). Title: Re: Power bill Post by: xanadu on May 16, 2011, 11:11:40 PM Yeah, we are in a cool climate but at least we have inexpensive hydro-electric rates ($.0855/KWH) so the mining only added about $100 to my electric bill, more than offset by the run-up in BTC value over the past month.
I've been building up the mining cluster over time so expect it to go up next month. I was just amused by the distinct spike on the usage graph :) Title: Re: Power bill Post by: xenon481 on May 16, 2011, 11:20:28 PM 40-50kWH per month is a lot before mining. Yes, that is what I meant...... :-\ Title: Re: Power bill Post by: VastLite on May 16, 2011, 11:29:08 PM http://edge.imgur.com/MAQ4R.png
Due to tiered pricing (god I hate Edison) April was twice as much as March. About $400 USD versus $200. :( I barely broke even mining. This month is turning out much better! ;) |
